Please allow users to set Last Post / New permanently

I’d really like it if we could get a user setting that would allow us to default to “New” instead of always defaulting to “Last Post” for every forum here.

I know I can make a bookmark, but I check quite a few forums here, and I’d rather not have to make a bookmark for each forum. I’m also not able to run scripts or use browser addons.

Would a user setting that allows us to default to “New” instead of “Last Post” for every discussion forum here be a welcome addition to this site?

I started switching to - new for about a year. Therefore, it is very necessary that it was by default.
