I really liked Dishonored also.
As for not finishing games I'm not enjoying ... well ... I'm stubborn once I get far enough.

Same here! Dishonored is one of my favourite games and, in my opinion, definitelly one of the better stealth action games out there :)

RAGE would be mine. I liked the game but it just felt overall lacking.

This. Oh so many times this. Dishonored felt as refreshing and awesome as the trailers promised.

Just did another low chaos run for the feels. Finished it then decided to do another high chaos run right after >:D

Hell yeah. I played on mid-chaos (started high chaos because I was new to the game, then completed the game on minimum chaos, resulting in getting the low chaos ending). I started the game again to play on high total chaos mode, but I dropped it to play some other games. I'll probably get back in the game eventually, though!

I killed so many people during the first mission that I felt guilty afterwards, and I finished the game on low chaos. I really tried to finish the game with the chaotic ending, but I couldn't do it until my 6th gameplay. Besides, I enjoy being stealthy.

Chaos level is determined by kills. You can do a high chaos stealth run too.

Stealth doesn't automagically equate to non-lethal. The entire game is about choices and that ability is there to give you one - maintaining stealth alongside high chaos. It's not unheard of. Splinter Cell Blacklist as an example has the ghost and panther play styles 2hich are both stealth oriented.
If anything Dishonored is almost the exception in that it does allow an almost pure stealth approach with 9nly minimal interaction with your targets.

I did read it and I wasn't arguing, I was explaining why thats there. You might not find it fun but others will. You're the one spouting curses unprovoked, in my book that makes you th asshole.

Dishonoured* was an all around fantastic game! Cannot wait to see more of the sequel!

Mafia II. Yes, I said it. The save system is utter shit, the illusion of open world is disgusting, character development is handled really poorly (likeable character gets brutally murdered; 10 seconds later you're told that he was a rat and you shouldn't feel sorry for him; WOW, just f*cking wow...), robbing shops as you were Trevor or some other CJ and not a "mafia" member, disappointing ending and so on...
A sequel is now rumored/ officially announced. You tell yourself, "I might as well give it another chance."
NOPE.

It would probably be Final Fantasy XIII - I liked the Characters (especially Lightning and Hope) but at the first time playing all this L'Cie, Fal'Cie stuff was too much for me and I didn't really like it all in all so much...
That said, I really enjoyed Dishonored, I was a bit sad it was so short, but I didn't feel like I was wasting my time with it :) and looking forward to the sequel.

I agree. Except I felt the characters got a little boring after a while. I just couldn't finish the game because I had no interest and I had put in at least 20 hrs.

I've been playing FF XIII, and after chapter 11 it becomes so, so, so BORING. The story is still good and all, but the gameplay gets really monotone. It's the same as always: Reach a checkpoint, fight the boss, lose, spend hours leveling up, fight the boss again, win, repeat.

Good to know I'm not the only one who doesn't like Dishonored. It's overrated, all you do is run around and knock out people holding CTRL ... It doesn't give much of a choice and you don't use half of the things in game if you want the good ending ...

Overrated? I personally jumped in this game without any idea about what I was about to play, and I was extremely skeptical about the reviews. Turns out it's now one of the best games I've ever played.
Also, please give me at least three stealth games in which the gameplay doesn't work like you just said.

Dishonored is a great game! Ok, I wouldn't put it in my personal Top 20 list, but it is still a great game!
When I think of dissapointing games I still have finished, then Crysis is the first thing which comes to my mind.
At the beginning you are overwhelmed by the graphics and don't care all too much about the story, but after a while you will start to miss something and then it gets boring - especially at the end where even the graphics are not so good any more (ice levels and that part where you float through that alien ship thing...). And no, I will never give Crysis 2 or 3 a chance. I simply don't care about this series any more...

Dead Island. I was super excited. I think I may have even finished the game. Just empty inside.
Also, Bioshock Infinite. Not going to lie, I figured out the twist pretty quickly. And the ending was blah. All I could think of is that THIS is the product of a line of creativity which came from System Shock and System Shock 2. Wow. Lots of people liked it, I found it wanting.

The exact opposite for me. Everyone I knew hated Dead Island and told me not to get it, but I ended up loving it. xD

If you play Dead Island co-op with someone you know, it can be a blast. Sure, it gets pretty old by the end, but my brothers and I had a blast playing it. Especially once you can make the shock baseball bats that ragdoll the zombies through the air.

My internet is actually too slow for almost all forms of online multiplayer.

Max payne-Not the greatest game I played and it was annoying to beat from the start because of the long drawn out story and cut scenes.
Comment has been collapsed.
I felt the opposite.
0 hype, 0 interest when it was announced. As the game got closer to release, I had a little interest from the good things I was hearing. Won the game and loved it a lot.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hype is why I tend to avoid gaming news. Probably the closest thing I have is when I beat Alan Wake. Everyone I knew that played it said it was really really good and I ended up getting it on my PC. What I found was a slog through boring, repetitive gameplay that I only managed to get through because the story had me hooked.
(EDIT: I'd also like to add Final Fantasy XIII and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to my list.)

The DISHONERED Scenario - A game you were hyped to play. Ended finishing the game but felt very disappointed - betrayed by expectations. You look back into the hours you spent playing and simply felt pity to your past self.
A sequel is now rumored/ officially announced. You tell yourself, "I might as well give it another chance."
