Try putting your heater on it to thaw it out. Failing that get better insulation for your home. It's probably not healthy for your child if your playpen gets that cold btw.

You said your game freezing, not crashing. It started to crash with new drivers?

This resolved some people's problems, including mine. It might not be what you need, and it WILL reset your video settings. You should be able to put them right back how you like them, however. It shouldn't eat your savegame but might (not that you necessarily care.)

Good luck!

Yup that was the one I used years ago to fix my problems. Once I did that, no more crashes. Fallout 3 has real issues when trying to multithread on more than 2 cores.

I did that (though i had to change my iNumHWThreads=2 to 1 instead of 2.) Then i installed the klite mega codec pack and then put a copy of the d3d9.dll into the fallout 3 folder. Seems to have alleviated my crashes completely. (well cept when i try to use too many mods at once heh.)

That game is buggy and is a poor console port. I got 8 crashes in about 100 hours of playtime

8 crashes in about 100 hours of playtime is actually pretty damn good. Compared to the fact I have 72 hours in skyrim and it has probably crashed 20+ times on me. :p

No 8 crashes in 100 hrs are NOT good. It would only be good if he had zero crashes. (And btw, Iยดve installed 42 mods for skyrim and it didnt crash once in now 80 hrs)

8 crashes in 100 hours is nothing compared to how many crashes I have in 400 hours
