Nice way of thanking the person who gave you the good advice. GA in steamgifts are made for steam platform only. I just pointed out you will face some issues if its a GOG key. The winner wouldn't have been able to mark it as received because the game wouldn't have been added to the winner's steam library.

Well sorry for being your debbie downer by pointing out the mistake and suggesting you to delete the GA before any other issue arises.

Or you could be less of an ass and not take a simple help or advice as a insult to yourself.

If you had gone through FAQ and Guidelines you could have avoided spreading wrong information like just clicking the receiving button.

Creating Giveaways
* All giveaways must be for Steam redeemable gifts or Steam redeemable keys.

Winning Giveaways

* Won gifts must be activated on the Steam account used during registration, and they cannot be regifted, traded, sold, or removed from your Steam account after activation.

* Winners will need to correctly mark their gift as received or not received within one week of the gift being marked as sent by the giveaway creator. It is also necessary to keep this feedback up-to-date if the status of the gift changes.

Well by that statement you are suggesting a winner to misuse the giveaway feedback button. As a veteran to SG and a a group admin of a steam group you should act as a guide. What you are doing it exact opposite.

BTW I wasn't debbie downer for the 200-300 people who entered the GA. You were misinformed and wrongly giving them hope for winning one of the popular game, you couldn't have able to provide because you can't justify £50 steam gift. I just wanted to help you but no that was my mistake.

and for a small suggestion, you may not be able to Gift from steam to everyone, even if you wanted to. You may wanna search for steam regional restriction in the discussions.

I can't justify the £50 steam gift required as you can't buy steam keys.

well if you could have justified the £50 steam gift, the only option was to add the winner on steam buy the game as steam gift and provide them.
As far as I know there aren't any steam keys available in the market. I could only find GOG key.
And as you are from UK, if the winner is from Japan or Israel you woulnd't have been able to send the game.

That was a suggestion for future reference. I gave that because if you in the future tried to give a steam gift and someone wanted to help you with the issue you will be rude to that person so I though why not.
After all you won't even try to understand how this site works.

You acted like it was me who forced you to delete the giveaway and blamed it on me in-front of those users you unknowingly mislead.

How was that my fault? You creating a giveaway for the game that wasn't valid for the site. Well you did try to giveaway a wishlisted game in the community. I am thankful for that. But it wasn't valid giveaway nonetheless because SteamGifts can't verify that you gave a game and winner received the game. You both were going to face some issues. Thankfully I went through the GA description and noticed a GOG key when almost 200+ user already entered. I pointed out the issue and gave you a suggestion.

Please don't blame others for mistakes and don't act like an ass when they are merely trying to help you.

Thanks.. that conversation with OP was almost similar to one of the video I saw. Hard to argue with someone that doesn't give out to reasoning. Hope he sees the thing like the second guy did in the video.
