My computer fans and the clickity clack of my keyboard as I press them down to type out this reply. The faint sound of the tv can be heard from the other end of the house, if only to break up the quite and mono-toned mood in my room. An occasional squeak from the computer chair pierces the continual loop of background noise in unison with the tv, but quickly subsides to the ever pressing and persistent sound of the pc fan. Strangely frightening as even the background noise created by the fan slowly fades, like the Antarctic ice shelf, drowned out by an ever enveloping silence. Not the silence of sound, but the silence of the heart and soul. And then, nothing.
