Thanks for the heads up! Grabbed a copy of One Way Heroics, as well as EF-12: Creator's Edition. Wouldn't of gotten either if it wasn't for your post. Much appreciated :)

Wow I just lost my entire day to this game, it's an absolutely amazing rogue-like. Each game is good 2 hours, but there is so much re-playability. All the stats feel useful, AGI lets you outpace your enemies, CHR lets you recruit others. You unlock new perks and classes depending on how well you play. The game is pretty deep mechanically as well, you have to plan well or packs of enemies will tear you apart.
The worlds are automatically generated and each have a unique code, you can replay any world (even ones you haven't played) with just that code. There are special event worlds too which change daily. Another cool thing is a player high score board which shows all the players who have played the same world as you.
The brutality is there, especially if your greedy like me, I find myself getting trapped in dungeons, because I just had to check it for loot. Every time you finish the game you have a "Dimension Vault" where you can stores your best items. Overall amazing game, highly recommended for $1.

I went ahead and bought it, but I don't see anywhere where it says we would get a Steam key when it gets greenlit

It's the very first announcement they made. I had to dig for it.

Dang it... it LOOKS amazing, the concept is interesting... but I wish there was a non-scrolling version, I mean really, there's a lack of good "normal" rogue-likes as it is...

Keys were there before the game got unlocked on Steam, it gave me an opportunity to see this message. (it activated just fine)

Anyone who buys from Playism eventually gets a Steam key. It is a forced-scrolling roguelike where you survive long enough to kill a terribly strong boss that follows you at random times, while trying to avoid getting crushed off the screen.
There are multiple difficulties where the game essentially gets longer and harder to survive, with greater rewards. You unlock new classes, character upgrades, and equipment upgrades, by living off the land with little resources and killing monsters. You have a vault that holds items you collected over the games and can spend points to increase capacity. The same points buy perks you can assign to any character that influences increases stats/abilities or starts them with minions/money. Equipment or items saved in the vault can be used to give you a head start for future games. You can sell an expensive item and buy anything you want for a long while and wear equipment that sets monsters on fire, immobilizes enemies, and durable enough to last hundreds of times. You can fight bare-handed with combo-enhancing perks and combo multiple times each turn if you want to do that.
It has online challenges. You can race people around the world and see their progress in the corner of your screen. Also has a couple of worlds with different gimmicks to change it up every so often. Cards are in the works.
OWH+ is being worked on and is said to be a separate release for all the changes it brings, such as hotkeys. Possible discount if you own the original game. You don't need Paypal to order.
