That's irritating, lol. Doesn't the site notify them that they've won?

Yes, you get a tiny green notification banner just like the one saying one of your giveaways is finished.
Anyway, give 'em a chance. Most people enter a dozen or so giveaways at a time so they won't be mashing the F5 key just for yours. You'll probably get confirmation within the next 24 hours.

They have 7 days... the average time of response is like day and a half-

check his steam profile if he has already activated the game
If it isn't, just wait
If it is already activated, contact him and tell to confirm in the site that he has already got the game
If no response has been made by the winner after 7 days, contact steam support to revoke the game and also report it here

So the guy has been on Steam, but hasn't activated the game on his account. I'm afraid he took the key and did something with it. Is there a way I can check to see if the key has been used? (the game is already on my personal account)

yes there is something you can do. Wait 7 days from the time the giveaway ended, then report him to support if he still hasn't. If you use the code before 7 days has passed, and he then tries to activate it and it fails, you will be at fault. You must give him 7 days to activate the game.

Every time you send a code, send it through EMAIL! This way you always have a proof that you have sended it. Try contacting him through steam. Check his steam account and if he hasn't activated it after a week report him and show proof that you actually sended the code. If he hasn't activated it and you've shown proof that you sended the code, he will get suspended.

I've had someone not accept a giveaway after they won. It was just a public giveaway of cubemen. They did not go on the site or steam for the whole week after.
It makes me hesitant to make non-contributor giveaways. Most of the time contributors actually play games on a regular basis so they would probably enjoy a random game more.

I'm trying to become a contributor by doing this but this tard won't take my game, lol.

I haver a reverse problem. Yesterday I won my first giveaway, IG9 directly from indiegala. It's been 24 hours and I didn't get any email, nothing on steam.

Sometimes stuff happens. I remember one giveaway I won I didn't accept till a couple days later cause I had an abnormally large amount of work and didn't even go near my computer those couple days. Just wait a week and if they don't accept, reroll.

I posted my first giveaway today, and the individual who won hasn't responded or acknowledged even though I've sent the code. Is this normal? How long do I wait prior to selecting another winner? Thanks
