Can be due to the fact Killing Floor has been made cut for Germans in 2010 or 2009. People like me who bought it near the release date still have the uncut version. But I can't see the package price anymore. Thanks to the german USK for this masterpiece of cutting a game that is already for 18+ Germans because a mature person can't bear this kind of gore but I may see Saw, Dawn of the Dead and The Walking Dead ^^

Exactly. Contrary to popular belief, it is NOT against the law to sell us uncensored games. Origin does this because it implements a legally recognized method of age verification, which was a pleasant surprise for me (too bad it still sucks in many other ways). Meanwhile, Valve still can't be arsed to do something good for us second class customers in one of the biggest economies in Europe.

European customers always are disadvantaged. Think of the 1:1 $=€ policy. And the case where german customers can't activate a non-german Key of Modern Warfare 2 (and 3 maybe). Valve doesn't care about them. The censored games only prevent a prohobition of selling games for a specific country (that would be less money for Valve).

It's "fixed" now, by which I mean there is now an appropriately censored bundle that works.
Sucks, but IIRC Tripwire was actually awesome enough to include the bDevGoreOverride option to undo the censorship. Don't know how well it works (or even if it still works at all), since I'd bought it before the German retail release.
