I've already contacted the person who created the giveaway. And after a painful conversation conducted through Google translate (he only spoke Spanish) I determined that he accidentally created two giveaways for the game even though he only had one key. Apparently both giveaways ended at the same time and both had the same key given to the winner, and the other winner just used the key first.
It was basically just an accident on his part (or a glitch with Steamgifts). So I didn't feel that he owed me anything. I just told him to contact support and explain the situation and have the giveaway cancelled. I then posted a comment on the giveaway telling the support member that I was cool with that. Not sure if they even care what I think, but I gave it my blessing anyway.
So now I have two questions.
1) Does that fulfill my responsibility in the matter for the time being? Obviously if he never bothers to contact support, I'll have to mark the gift as un-received in a week. But for now, there's nothing more for me to do, right?
2) Since I know for sure that I wont be getting the game from this giveaway, am I now free to enter more giveaways for that game? Or do I have to wait until the dupe-key giveaway is cancelled by support? Or if he never bothers to contact support, a week passes and I mark the gift as un-received?
