I've always taken birthdays as, surviving one more year, instead of being a year older; You can die at any moment and from millions of different reasons, it can be sudden and instantaneous, or slow and painful, yet, we only live once, so, to have survived for a whole year is cause for celebration.

One thing about paper, it was once used to program computers as punch cards. It's still being used today for table top RPGs. It's such an adaptive material. If only we could all be as adaptive as paper. Today marks your _____birthday. Fill it in however you want :D

Age is a physical state. Mental state is somehow related, but differently depending on each person. Emotional state is related more to how you learn from experiences (mental), rather than how many you've had (age/luck). Health sometimes is directly related to age, otherwise it's not to be taken into the equation.
So of all the things we are, and all the things we go through, age is not that important. A friend of mine got to 40 this year and she was like "omg 40! wtf 40!" and I was in front of her with a bored to death expression and 10 years more than her.
And the only usefulness of birthdays are: getting gifts, and making a party.
I don't think I've had a "midage" crisis because when is "midage"? 43? 51?

It's just a number. In my life I have met people in their twenties who seem tired of life, as if they have given up the pursuit of the secret of life. And I have met people three or four times their age pulsing with life, as if they knew the supreme secret.

Well I guess I'm taking another step in this life. Right now I feel all fine but someone said after this age you will only get older. I think actually after every birthday you're getting older, no matter how old you are already - 1, 13, 27, or 65. It's all on paper you know, the only thing that matters is how you feel. The question is - how do you look on yourself. For example, I don't feel ashamed at all to play Lego, to go to amusement parks with rollercoasters, to play videogames such as first Quake or Doom, or even the Bubble Bobble Nostalgie.
Yes, the society will judge you and say - you're living wrong at your age. And I will say to them all - go do something useful.

Штош, вот и очередной шажок в моей жизни. Честно говоря, странно считать возраст шагами, но шо есть - то есть ) Один человек однажды сказал, что вот именно после этого возраста ты начинаешь стареть, а мне кажется, что стареть ты начинаешь как только родился ) Никто не молодеет никогда. Растёт в начале жизни - да, но моложе-то он не становится )) Несмотря на свой возраст, я люблю пособирать всякое Лего, люблю сходить в парк аттракционов с американскими горками, поиграть в какие-то игрушки на компе или на приставке. Возможно, кто-то скажет - ты живёшь неправильно, надо о других вещах думать. Им я скажу - идите и займитесь чем-то полезным.
P.S. Спасибо, ребята, что вы с нами. Что вы остаётесь, несмотря на передряги, дружным, вежливым и щедрым сообществом. Оставайтесь офигенными.
