There are a lot more nuances though, the way we learn our mother language is done through our discovery of the world at the same time. Once we have a first language it's tougher to learn a new one, especially if the structures of the next language are different, because we always base our intuition on the languages we know. So the first language gives a name to things, while further languages give new names to names we know. It becomes interesting when learning a word that has more than one use (like nail) and seeing which languages have two different words for it or don't.
Some languages don't have specific verb conjugations, others don't have gendered nouns or words for plural, or usages of the past/future tenses, so that's one more challenge.
Plus, if our entire environment is in the language we want to know, we have no choice but to learn it. Trying to learn a new language while living in an environment and with people who don't speak it makes it exponentially harder because we get a lot less feedback, and a lot less incentives to learn and practice.

There are many Steam Learning Game like Language Games which teach new languages
I did try a few but I think Learning From other sites rather than games is worth it .
