It may be worth mentioning, that in some cases even today you still can't/shouldn't use social media to support building your personal brand. For example some branches of military (Special Forces) or law enforcement directly forbid its members from disclosing their occupation. So it could be a nice touch to mention in your paper a few cases of folks getting into trouble for saying a word too much.
Also in other occupations, where social media are often used to the extreme (politics for example) quite a lot of people had their careers finished by twitting just a word too many.
I may be quite old fashioned here, being over 60 already, by for all that I see, if you are really good at what you are doing, word of mouth and personal connections are much more useful, than social media presence. So being for example a defense attorney of some standing, unless I for some reason I would like to attract a specific type of clients, I would avoid social media altogether to avoid accidentally getting into any controversy and to keep my private life as private and separated from my professional life as possible. Which actually, not being any of the listed above but for similar reasons, I do :)
Cheers :)

For my research paper for uni, I am conducting a questionnaire of 5 questions about how people use Twitter and LinkedIn to build their personal brand for their career. If you actively use both platforms (particularly for career-building), it would be a great help. It should take at least 15-20 minutes.
Questions are open-ended. If you have any insights, please feel free to be as in-depth as you can about your use of each platform. Even if you don't subscribe to certain practices, could you elaborate further if possible.
I'd appreciate if anyone answers.
Giveaways appear after completing the questionnaire (15-20 minutes)
