Yeah just read. My heart goes out to his family. But i won't sign a petition for something that promotes this kind of recklessness. Unless of course he wasn't driving and didn't have any control over it.

When you try to race past a railroad crossing before a train comes in the hope that you won't be held up by it for several minutes. If you're not successful, well . . . . .

He was not drunk there were signs of alchohal use by the driver who was not him

It only says that they believe alcohol was a factor, it does not say who of them where drinking (might have been all of them) or driving for that matter. Either way, getting into a car where the driver is drunk and not even using a seatbelt is still stupid.
"The investigation is still underway, and it is believed that alcohol may have played a factor in the crash. Police also said no one was wearing their seat belt."

My feelings exactly. In one sense i could see why people my want him remembered, after all he did contribute alot. Perhaps an easter egg for him would be slightly better than a full blown commemoration.

He tried to go fast enough to go passed the train tracks such as when your at a red light and your in the middle when the light goes from yellow to red

So let me get this straight. A person is drunk, has two more passengers in the car, and decides "hey I'll beat that train" and kills himself and those passengers in the process. I don't see a reason why such a careless irresponsible person should be glorified in a game.
I'll probably cause a shitstorm by this but I just have no sympathy for a person who brings such pain among several persons and families just because he can't get his shit together.

seen the use of "his truck" & "his passengers", where did you read he wasn't driving?
Edit "
Driver, 30-year-old Brian J. Rickard of Terre Haute
Passenger, 24-year-old Ryan Lee Cook of Terre Haute
Passenger, 20-year-old Ashlee Taylor Pugh of Dennison, IL"

Not want to be disrespectful, but i would say somebody who drives drunken and kills his innocent passengers dont deserves to be a hero for children.

I dont get why someone who... let's say, 'killed' two guys deserves to be in a game. Even thinking about it makes you not deserve it

Continually amazes me how people forget what driving actually is, and the responsibility it bears.

Hurry up and follow through with your edit. Try not to be buthurt too much. It's not that people don't have respect for the dead, they just choose not to condone actions. Many of us will still recognize his contribution to games. You didn't think logically about your post, nor did the links OP. Commemorating him would send out the wrong signals.

I really don't want to be the douchebag here, but that guy did an extremely stupid thing that killed two people, why he should deserve a place in the game just because is dead?

If it's true, that he was the driver and at that time under the influence of alcohol, all I've to say is; fucking idiot.
How can one have 2 kids and be so irresponsible. Now he not only brought a hard time over his own family but 2 other families as well, not to mention their friends.
Again, if that all is really true, I've zero tolerance for such blatant idiocy, especially at the age of 30.

So someone gets drunk,or not, at least if he had been drunk he would have had an "excuse", and gets himself and 2 other people killed in a RETARDED and childish stunt and you want him to be glorified in a game? Fuck that. Why would anyone have any respect for him?

Not to sound disrespectful, but ending two other peoples lives do to the actions of a potential inebriated man is idiotic. I feel sorry to all the victims family. I'm not questioning that this person is a nice guy, but being nice and being a big fan of Borderlands does not deserve to be commemorated from someone that most people never heard of.
