Just goes to show that even if you have more disabilities you can still be better than others, it's all about the hard work that goes on in the backstage. That applies to the Olympic Games as well (e.g. other kinds of physical advantages).

I mean, our national television (which bought the broadcasting rights) is broadcasting some of it, but very little compared to the Olympics. I don't see any of it on any of the other channels, though.

the rights to the olympics are separate to the rights of the paralympics (though sometimes negotiated as a package)
Furthermore, how rights get split up and/or shared by channels is structured differently for different events. Might be that some channels bought the rights to some events of the olympics, and other channels bought rights to other events. It can get quite complicated.
and that's without taking into consideration those countries that by law ensure that some events are broadcast publicly

EDIT: I'm not trying to guilt trip anyone, I'm just trying to spark some discussion and awareness about the Games. ^^ And I mean 'not caring' as in the actual broadcasters not covering much and audiences not being receptive to it as much as they were to the Olympics (obviously, if you don't care about sports, this doesn't apply to you).
