Since I don't think it's worth staring a thread for, I'm going to ask this here: If I buy a game on sale, then give it away before the sale ends, do I still gain the full price CV? Or just the sale value? Does anyone know?

The sale value is never really important - It depends on the discount. If the game is discounted less than 95% you will always get full CV (unless it has been bundled or discounted more than 95% before). But if it is discounted more than 95% or has been bundled or discounted that much before, you will alwas get 15% of the full price CV (which is still more than fair, if you consider you probably paid a maximum of 5% of full price for the game). Important Note that could prevent a lot of "I dropped in Level SG is a scam"-threads (oc not all of them, cause there's also pricing errors, e.g. Deponia Series, and a few other factors): Games may be added to bundled list retroactively. So if you give away a game that is not on the bundle list but has had a high discount before (isthereanydeal.com is a good source for checking this), chances are that you will lose CV for that game as soon as it is added to the bundled list, and this may even happen years after the initial discount/bundling of the game.
I admit it is actually a bit complicated, but I hope this helped you ;)
