Oddly, he is familiar to me too, as if he were from an old dream, but I can't exactly remember...

People collected and never played games in the old days as well.

I am sorry but games have not improved since Mechwarrior 2, around that time was pretty much the golden age of PC gaming.
Go play it now...please do yourself that favor.
Also but a joystick for maximum enjoyment.

I'm kinda the same way with movies. I love collecting them and going out of my way to get collector cases for them but most of the time they just sit on the shelf and gather dust.

omfg.... i would need my entire life t play all of them :D I dont even want to know how much money you spend for those games :D

Stop dissing me Q.Q
Oh, wait, you said "about 200 games", so you're not talking about me :D

hey, I'm just collecting what I think are good games for the time in the near future when everything on the Internet will be monitored and I won't be able to download cracked games and since my income isn't that great I need to wait until some game gets on sale to buy it, and what better to do while waiting other than playing a good game that sits in your backlog untouched.I guess I'm like a doomsday prepper in that way

Are you talking about people who won those games here? Or people who bought the games then just not play them? Cause if it's the latter then that's really none of your business. Steam can be a someone's collection shelf if they damn well want if they spent their money on it. As for the former, I see your point if it's a game like TF2 that has no end but some people are trying to finish games that they were already playing or had planned to play long before winning.

^ I still have to finish plenty in my library. Instead of bemoaning people like me, I would laugh at their game greed (even I bought some in sale) when they don't even have the time to play all of it.
For a moment, it seemed like this thread was created for me; I recently played a lot of TF2. But that is because it is easy to join a random match and leave. It does not require commitment. Unlike a story based game.
But in my defense, I did start playing The Witcher and The Binding of Isaac alongside TF2. And a couple of games I don't play because I don't like them that much or my computer just can't handle it.

it doesnt bother me if they bought it themselves but, when i see they've won a ton of games they dont play that i wanted then yeah it ticks me off a little... i understand peoples need to have a life and thus, a backlog but when i see them play TONS AND TONS OF HOURS so i KNOW they have time to play they just dont, thats what makes me mad.

If you look at my profile and see a game that you want that hasn't been played, tell me.
All of the games I wanted have gameplay recorded. If they have 1 hour or less, they turned out to be shitty. Like Chivalry, or Garry's Mod.

I wouldn't say Legend of Grimrock or CLosure is shitty, Aradia. Same with Darksiders or Braid.

Shit
erm
you caught me
well Grimrock, Closure, and Braid, are all games that I'm just plain terrible at
and Darksiders
I have no excuse for that, sorry

You know that feeling when you see this guy with about 200 games but he mainly plays TF2 or just one game, and he has a bunch of games that you want just sitting in his library, not touching them and you're just thinking "AGGHHH".
Steam isn't a place for playing games, it's for having the pride of collecting games.
EDIT: Just to clarify, I'm not saying EVERYBODY does this, it's just the people who have time and money and are able to run the their games but mainly play a few games or one game. In their defense, they did buy the games with their own money and should be able to do what they want with them.
