W3 > W2 > W1. But every game in series is amazing RPG with story like in book.

Witcher 3 is open world. And this is a HUGE improvement. It seemed ridiculous Geralt doing all those feats yet being uncapable of jumping a 30 cm fence.

"The Witcher 1 & 2 still worth it?"
Why shouldn't they? Is not like a single player game loses content over time.

Really? I played it on a machine that was actually a bit below the minimum requirements, and the only problem I had was a bit of frame rate drop... Which I would have expected a lot more of considering that my computer didn't meet the requirements.

It also depends of the gpu. Correct me if I'm wrong, but, The Witcher games are optimized for NVidia GPUs. I played it on my Intel Core I5 8gbRAM RADEON HD 7850, and even if I had 50 constant fps at very high, the game crashed A LOT during the first chapter.

At their current price? I don't see why not, they're respected games at a crazy good price (you can get both for a bit more than just one DA game on feat/daily sale)

The Witcher 1 is better than The Witcher 2. That I can guarantee. It lost some of its feeling in transition. And it didn't exactly have the most refined game-play when it became an action-rpg, rather than a true rpg. That being said, both are good games and worth playing.

Not really, I don't like Witcher series.Books were great but the execution of politics and random quests in game were terrible.Yeah I got bored of it, never finished either games.

First game has mind numingly boring combat, lots of completely pointless running back and forth completing minor tasks and reuses character models over and over. Sadly, even fairly major characters are seen repeated throughout the game.
The story and the world is fantastic though, so if you want the most of Witcher 3 when it comes out... you really should play through all of them. Overall they are worth it.

They're both solid games; the first has better combat, but the second has better story, but both definitely worth it.
