yeah cv asterisks get backdated because the shobo isn't some sort of omnipotent hyperspeed god, you don't get points for being faster than him, but if you gifted it before it was "bundled" you don't get reduced. first comes the finding and exploiting, then the noticing and reporting, then the noticing of the reporting, then the adding to the list, this takes time, time that makes little sense to arbitrarily reward people for when adding to the list.

CV goes down when games have a permanent price drop.

Also, when you gifted a bundle game before Steamgifts actually marked it as bundled, but that is to avoid people trying to gain CV from them by gifting them very quickly after they got bundled.

Why complain about losing out on an exploited game? Hard to argue that you deserved full contribution value. We all know that bundle designation can be applied retroactively, and that it usually hits games that have a discount of greater than 95%.

However, I think a list of region-restricted games (assuming we don't have this already) would be helpful. Then again, might be overly complicated.

TL;DR I lost CV, I can't join 150 CV GAs and now I won't make GAs anymore because I don't giveaway games from the bottom of my heart.
