Then I got another account when I bought Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, and I'm sticking to it.

AMD promo; I choose not to count this, so Prince of Persia: Sands of Time from a generous friend of a friend. and my first money went to the Orange Box and Gmod.

All copies of Half Life changed into that, I had the original boxed copy before steam existed and you had to use WON.net to connect to multiplayer servers.

Then they rolled out Steam, and offered to attach half life codes to their service "for easier access to updates and multiplayer". Then a while later, Half Life 2.

Had me my account since 2005. Back when steam was green/beige/black and the store didn't exist fully yet.

I played Portal, and I really liked it so I had to get a copy, but no store's had a copy of it, so I bought the last copy of The Orange Box they've had.
That's how I got into FPS games, too...

didn't use steam too much till Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 came out, which would be my first steam game which i played... :)

Portal. It was kind of the reason I signed up for Steam in the first place, they were giving the game away to anyone with an account. Didn't actually use my account again until the winter sale, months later. That was something!

Also got Portal in between TF2 and Portal 2. I got it for free. Does anyone remember that day when Portal went free for a day?
