Actually Steam does have a few DRM-free games. Just say that you have a non-Steam game on Gamersgate and we'll understand.
Steamgifts is for Steam gifts and Steam gift keys, so you usually can't submit anything else (there are exceptions - for example, Steam keys for Humble Bundles are forbidden here but unredeemed gift URLs are allowed). I can think of a couple of options:
Don't forget to make sure that the game you have on GamersGate is actually giftable.
I don't have a mac so I won't be entering, but thank you for being thoughtful with your extra game and for being careful about not breaking the site rule.

sitting in my GamersGate account. It's Cities in Motion for Mac, non-Steam. So, I guess I wouldn't be allowed to make a givaway for it even though it exists on Steam, right? (Post edited for clarity)
