Title is little enigmatic, and quite... wrong ;)
I want to know, how You, dear gamers broterhood, started Your journey with gamming, hardcore way, or casual, it dosent matter, if You loving, what You doing it can be called full success ;)
Let me describe situation in Poland of years 80's last century ;)
Poland was as You know (or not ;)) under many repressions from east and west (ZSRR, NRD, etc) and it was totaly different country than now, some time later, was "golden years" of gamming in Poland, we can easly get game consoles like Atari 2600, NES, later PS one N64 and so.
But almost every teenager has a PEGASUS, a ripoff of FAMICON, which was actually a ripoff of NES ;D We had yellow cardriges, with better, or not conversions of Super Mario, Contra or Dizzy (and many spinoffs due the trademarks etc.) or even almost every game avialable for NES, controllers were shity, games, not always playable, and power adaptors brokes often, but we dont care about this, becose whole console with 2 pads, and light gun (incl. also power adaptor, RF cable and one game cartridge) currently costs about 5E! (6-7 USD) and games is cheap as hell!
Then, wen we mastered those game clones, we get apetite for more and better games, co it turns (me) for sony and later N64, Nintendo was superb, and for now sometimes, i Playing it, on the same controllers as well almost 16 years ago! and still loving playing zelda games :)
After that, I've got first PC. First with can handle Delta Force 2 without lags (before i had some PC, but basically... for BASIC ;)) after that, i always want more and more, my future as gammer was superb fast, and dont even know when and how i changed my RIG's... Now I'm happy for playing such old games, becouse now i can judge games, not for graphics, or tehnologies, but for that for what games are made, for fun and entertaiment ;)
Best Regards,
Michał :)
