It just has a constant repetition some like. Just like Arma, or COD, or CS, L4D, ect. I can only do a map so many times before I just say, it's a dlc pumped game, I don't care about masks, guns, character packs, infamy, and the same type of maps silent/loud. Plus it does have a horrible community unless you go at it with friends/regulars. You have to love the repetition imo.

No idea tbh. I've played it. It pales in comparison to the first. Maybe I just preferred my classic memorable levels like diamond heist and the bank robbery. But Payday 2 just feels like a dumbed down action-based version of Payday with clunkier controls to me.

Over 200 hours put into it and I can say I've gotten my money's worth out of it. One of the biggest aspects that drew me into the payday franchise was it's amazing co-op. The whole reason I started playing it to start with cause it was a great challenging game me and my friends could come together and play. Love first person shooters. Love the challenge of the heists and the infamy system that gives you something to work towards and accomplish.
Love the stealthing aspect of the game. If the heist has the option to stealth, me and my gang always try it first. Even if it generally isn't worth the time and effort putting into it, I love stealthing the mission anyways.

Have them watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2Rkn6qTY7E for inspiration.
Also,... if you need a combat psycho along, just send a game invite. (I can also do stealth, just not as good as the pros out there)

I play it with a bunch of real world friends, and on a high difficulty. The game becomes relatively challenging on higher difficulties, and teamwork & communication is key. This is what makes the game fun for me. Also, the game gets better when you get more perks, and the slow start is a bit of a design problem. Yes, I get it, they want to give you a sense of progression, but it hampers the early game a bit too much.

Why do people like it so much? I'm not asking this spitefully or anything, I really am genuinely wondering. What attracts people to it? If You, random internet person, play it and enjoy it, can I ask why?
I already accept that the game just isn't my cup of tea, I don't get any real feeling of accomplishment or even excitement from it. I own the first one, and I'll play it occasionally when my friends beg me to, and I played the second one a little bit at my cousin's. I just really don't understand what draws people into it, and I especially don't understand how they become as obsessed with it as I've seen with a couple people. Maybe there's just something wrong with my brain... I actually really Really wanted to like the game, especially after hearing how much my friends have raved about it, but I just haven't been able to.
EDIT: I just wanted to thank everyone who gave their input on this topic :) It was very interesting reading why you all like (or don't like) the game! I don't do much in forums anywhere on the internet, because my social anxiety reaches this far as well, I don't even feel safe or comfortable behind a screen. Everyone's politeness was a very nice surprise, and I just wanted to let you all know how much I appreciate it! I doubt I'll be putting a lot of time into this game anytime soon, but I may try eventually, when I'm able to play with many other people without panicking; perhaps I'll manage to be a bit more social in forums and discussions from now on though, thanks to you all :) Thank you.
