My value was $30. Then I received feedback for a "The Lord of the Rings Online: Steely Dawn Starter Pack" giveaway, and my value went up to fifty-something dollars and something cents. It's been a day or two since then, and my value just went back down to exactly $30.

It was missing from the bundle list, then added. Bundle item value is retroactive.

So Steamgifts decided that the "Steely Dawn Starter Pack" is exactly worthless just because it was in a bundle?

I thought bundle games only went down about 80% or so...

You get $30 credit maximum for bundle games. Read the FAQ.

Its not worthless. That value is stored, and gained as someone gives non bundle titles. Given you can get those cheap as well, it shouldn't be a worry.

Your knowledge is worth exactly nothing.

Worth no CV only if you don't give enough nonbundled games to unlock that bundled CV.

You get 20% of your Non Bundle value for your bundle games.

However, when giving bundle games, the first $25 will count as non bundle value.

Here is some maths to help you understand it a bit better.

$19.99 bundle game = $19.99 CV ($19.99 non bundle value)

$24.99 bundle game + $2.49 bundle game = $27.98 CV ($25 non bundle value, $2.98 bundle value)

$19.99 bundle game + $19.99 bundle game = $30 CV ($25 non bundle, $5 bundle value capped)

$19.99 NON bundle game + $19.99 bundle game + $19.99 bundle game = $53.99 CV ($44.99 non bundle, $8.99 bundle value capped)

At the time your giveaway ended, it hadn't yet been tagged as a bundle game, so your value increased as if it wasn't. When the tag was given, and dated before you gave it away, then your value was restored to the bundle cap.

Thanks for the help everybody. Except for you, Gainja, because you're a dick.

I knew bundle game values were capped, and that my value would go back down when the Started Pack was added to the list, but I didn't realize it was normal for my value to go back to the amount it was before I gave it away. I thought the Starter Pack value would only be decreased.
