Finally hit rock bottom at $19.99, and 80% off discount slapped on it.

Remember all the hype about it before it came out at $60?
Yeah...

Don't remember the hype. Anyway, all games drop in price over time..

I think it was because the game used to be FPS until the last minutes of the release they change the name and the game with a TPS type

Gameplay video

And the Trailer

personally i think it's worh it. I only played it a few hours and i like it. The story is ok for a shooter, the gameplay is repetetive but solid. the Enemy AI is actually quite good when compared to the rest off the game. the AI of your friends is pure crap and you have to constantly give them orders because they let themselves get flanked all the time.

Looks like Far Cry 3 isn't getting any love...

Finally hit rock bottom at $19.99, and 75% off discount slapped on it.

Haha, great one!

If this game is considered bad, then I don't want to see a truly bad game. Bureau might have disappointed a lot of people and it brought nothing new to the genre but it it a solid game nevertheless. With such a low price more than ever.

My impression is that FC3 was better than The Bureau.

Bad attempt at sarcasm, FC3 is from 2012 while X-com is fairly new.

This. The Bureau is not even a year old yet. Its gotten largely mixed reviews and is already at 80% off. Compared to a GOTY candidate from 2012 isn't really a fair comparison.

I don't think The Bureau is a bad game. Not a lot of games take place during the time period it does and it was an interesting attempt at cashing in on the literal GREATNESS of Enemy Unknown. Look at The Bureau like a movie sequel that misses the mark but isnt unwatchable, but comparing it to one of the best games of the last generation (Far Cry 3) that is nothing at all like XCom in game style (FPS vs Turn Based) is a bit folly.

The first time Far Cry 3 was discounted with 75% was 2013.12.02 clicky

Steam says it was released 2012.11.29, so after 12 month it got a big discount.

The first time The Bureau: XCOM Declassified was discounted with 80% was 2014.06.20 clicky

Steam says it was released 2013.08.23, so after 10 month it got a big discount.

2 month is not that big of a difference for me ;)

You're forgetting about base price decreasing, that happened only in January this year, after that the % discount got reduced to 50% max for a while as well, so yeah, still a huge difference in the way it's price dropped.

The only thing that's surprising about it's pricing is that it both decreased it's base price within a year of release as well as it's % discount, normally after decreasing the price the discount would be 50% if it was 75% before for at least 1 sale or so, now it not only halved it's base price but the % of discount is is lower then it's ever been before as well, and that only 10 months after release.

The game isn't that bad.. The story and atmosphere is quite good, but the combat is so repetitive... Worth 5€ max.

Well, it's pretty good to me, the only thing is that coop or bigger squads would have made it better.

It is good game. I am not fan of other xcom games so i don´t care about franchise but only about game itself.

XCom:Enemy Unknown & The Bureau for $8.49 is awfully tempting. So is The Witcher 2 for $3.99, but I still haven't played the first one and I can always borrow the second one on 360. (First world problems, I know)

I've owned the first one for years, but never played it past the intro castle part. The text is a bit small on my TV, so I never really gave it a shot.

Didn't even see any hype for the bureau. Got it gifted and halfway through saw why. Just shitty.

Bought on pre-order (10 or 15% off, can't remember) and I loved it... But it's still hard since it's too different than other games of the serie. Strategy FPS isn't a good combination.

The story is good like others xcom, and the cinematics are just right for the game and feel... It could be much better if it followed the original games.

I thought The Bureau looked interesting, so I bought the pack that included XCOM: Enemy Unknown, along with the DLCs for it. I'm usually quite lenient when it comes to games that many consider to be bad, so I try to give certain games a chance.
