agreed - feeding with information can be bad in its own way I suppose - I was worried this was itself a scam when bitskins.com was a used name - but I believe that might just be a common way people gain game exposure and refs and this is probably just a PSA by the OP for the communities benefit :)

One of the suspicious thing about that fake steam site that it automatically shows price in rubles ( FC New Dawn costing 1849 руб.)
Otherwise it's pretty well done, every steamcommunity page seems to be grabbed and implemented on the fake site. But it can't show store pages because it is a different page :P
And on a second look, the user's profile URL is fishy - the https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/ID format works, but it will get redirected to /id/ID formats ( For example this is icaio's page: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198120091280, he is a great test subject! ) (No icaio was harmed during testing)
I guess they just expect people log in like madmen as they see the knives in the inventory.

I guess pages not grabbed and implemented, it just works as a proxy. So, if a page there is in steamcommunity - it will be accessibe on fake site too. I guess you will be even able to login, just your credentials will be saved and used to scam you.

Just to add a bit to icaio's comment:
Maybe throw in an extra space somewhere the real fake steamcommunity link to make it unclickable. While I do think that after someone checks your giveaways and reads the post about the site being fake, then proceeds to log in and gets their account stolen is kiiiiiiiind of at their own fault, but we protect kids from potentially harming themselves too, right? Sometimes you just need to count on people to be stupider than anticipated, and be smart instead of them, if they can't be.
(And yes, I think Khalaq will eventually show up telling you to remove / inactivate the fake link, so better do it now)

I genuinely don't think you're a scammer, and for myself I think you were pretty clear about that it is a fake site and caution is needed. Really, just chill a bit. Nobody wants to hurt you. I'm happy that I could see a phishing site in the works, and as you seen in my comment up a bit, I checked a few things to see how far that fake site stretches, or how does it work, because it is interesting.
And I really wasn't joking, the moderators usually ask to change working phishing links to inactive ones. And I suggested the change so you can avoid any consequences (even from people who ignore your writing and get scammed, then would try to blame you) because I do think that this topic is a useful contribution to the forums.

it's impressive how much they invest to scam you
Can you really steal that much with that?

maybe I just have too few stuff to steal
I have some money from card sales, but that's it

Thanks, I'll get right on it as soon as I'm done sending my personal data and credit card number to that Nigerian prince who needs a few bucks to be able to wire me $5 millions 👀

I reported that guy/link to Steam last week or so. Thanks for the heads up, though.
