Metro 2033 was on sale on Steam for like $5.99 a couple of weeks ago. Good info though for people who don't own this game.

Tô viciado em Steam agora. Comprei o Prince of Persia 1 (Sands of Time) na Fullgames por R$ 9,90, quase compro de novo na promoção da Ubisoft...

Metro 2033 is a steamworks title so you can activate it on Steam anywhere you get it. However Metro 2033 doesn't seem to have sold all that well or the publishers know that cheaper titles sell better, it's almost always on sale at the 5.00 USD mark.

Still 9.00 USD is not a bad price to pay for the fantastic, yet slightly flawed, game. Remember to play on the Ranger difficulties otherwise combat will feel too clunky.

Pretty bad "deal" considering it's usually lower on far more convenient and reliable services, like Amazon and Steam.

Amazon being unavailable to anyone outside the US, that leaves Steam and "other sources". Might be the easiest way for someone to actually get the game.
