Can I help him to promote? Or is there any way to bypass the requirements?

Hello,
I had this exact problem, i was not able to use my game dev account because i did not have the $100 requirement.

I asked and was told it wasn't possible to bypass the $100 requirement, I had to use a personal account instead of my game dev account.

I can't see there would be any issue in you promoting your friends game. Best speak to support if you want to be 100% sure.

Huh?
Often the games are unbundled at the moment the GA is done and it's in masses, you mean that doesn't give a nice little boost on the real CV/GA's sent? ;)
Aslong as you got the slots for the GA's you should be set to go anyway afaik.

still after the number of copies goes above 5, the cv drops..

CV gained starts getting reduced after giving away 5 copies of the same game. So giving away masses of one title might get less CV than you are thinking.

Well assuming the Game is a indie Game with a maximum price of 10$ that would be an real cv increase of arround 80$ no that much for a lvl 6 user

Assuming that it only happens once, which rarely is the case.

yes. $10 game in store, 50 copies, it's like ~300cv.

wrong. 50 copies of 10$ games will give 149,12720364$ CV. And next copy will be worth less than 9 cents :> Generally it is impossible to gain more than 150$ CV with 10$ game, because after 72 copies each additional copy will be worth less than 1 cent even if rounded thus will give 0.00CV ;) General rule - max CV that can be earned by giving away multicopies of game (for nonbundled games) Is few cents less than [Store Price]*15, no matter number of copies.

if it's just 1 game so it won't do much, but i've seen lv7-8 rise to lv10 in less than 1 year just by giving away "free" keys.
