Hotline Miami of course! The music is just perfect! It fits with the 80's crazy B-Movie style.
Streets of Rage 2, Need to add more? That game is basically that era in a nutshell. I also love the V5 REMAKE version.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Wonderful prequel! Very witty game and superb cyberpunk music, even better than the great original score.
There are other games music that I love (Crusader: No Regret, the Hitman Series, Mortal Kombat, Gothic series) but I just pointing the games that I love pratically 99% of the soundtrack. :D

OMG you mentioned SOR2 and the remake? You are getting +9999999999 from me for the rest of my existence on this planet. I was sure I would be the first to mention that game but you humbled me good man :) Seriously so much win. That soundtrack is the ultimate portrait of the era and the sidescrolling fighting game genre.
Also: I really love the Hitman Soundtracks (all the goooooood stuff from Jesper Kyd, never played Absolution)

Hahaha! You're right. I always says that SOR2 is the game that most I have played in my life. I bet that you already have the music but you can hear and download the soundtrack here http://sorr.doulifee.com/
Also, I'll add that, unfortunately, the Absolution soundtrack is nothing special, fits for 47 but it doesn't stays in your mind after you have played the game like the other ones.

Castlevania - Lords of Shadow has insanely great sweeping soundtrack.
This Vampire Killer homage to the original in itself shows how good it is.
Vampire Killer music box edition
And then some of the more orchestrated ones:

So after listening to it for the 1000th time I have to admit I'm hooked in Hotline Miami's Soundtrack! Talking to a friend of mine the other day he said that Hotline Miami's soundtrack is what the 80s should have been... They had the samples, they had the synthesizers so they had everything they needed to make awesome music. I mean, I love a lot of bands from the 80s but that general "80s" sound is a bit lame (if you think I'm wrong please do explain with examples as I love to learn about music).*
Anyway, back to topic... From HLM to Alan Wake, from Diablo (1) to Red Dead Redemption, from Chrono Trigger to Portal 2 there is a ton of great music in games! So which soundtracks do you like the most? And why? If you could spare some links it would be great! ^_^
Cheers!
*Don't give me Rock examples as I am quite aware of those. I was talking about electronic music such as what we have in HLM'sOST.
