Awesome - That's very much needed. Always left out the toilet water, must be where I went wrong.
Now all I need is my SteamGifts QQ thread checklist...
Tick as you go along
[ ] Random
[ ] No, actually it's pseudo-random
[ ] Statistics
[ ] Stuck on Q#
[ ] Bump for solved
[ ] Thanks for Skyrim
[ ] Estimated wins...
[ ] It's a scam
[ ] Shhh don't tell them it's a scam...
Please add any QQ thread tropes I've missed...

The chances of winning are fair. Equal chance for all. And you have a 20% chance of winning so far. Seems about right. Took me over 1200.

Random is random.
You could sacrifice a virgin goat to the dark lord Cthulhu during a full moon to improve your chances of winning, though.

where: does not matter, but a solitary rock near the coast pleases Cthulhu the most
when: during a full moon
type: does not matter, as long as it's a virgin goat - but a voluntary sacrifice pleases Cthulhu the most (so make sure the goat is okay with being sacrificed and withstand your urge to make love to it, so it stays a virgin)
how fat: does not matter

Giveaways Entered: 866

Estimated Wins: 0.42
With over 800 giveaways entered I am LUCKY to have won one. Normally I'd ignore you as a troll.

There are 308,898 Members.. not everyone can win all the time.. check your profile.. your estimated wins is 0.2.. it is all based on which giveaways you enter.. enter giveaways with low number of entries and you have a higher chance of winning something..

Check out the 'Estimated Wins' bit on your profile! It gives you statical average number of wins you should expect given the number of giveaways you've entered and their probabilities (at the time when the giveaway ended.) Yours is 0.20, which makes it unsurprising that you haven't won anything.
One thing I should point out: Entering a giveaway early doesn't actually help you. After all, the 'dice' are only rolled at the end; if you enter when it had 150 people, and there's 2000 by the time it closes, your chances of winning are only one in two thousand!
The 'constant jackpots' people tend to be either members of private groups (ones with strict giveaway rules, so they're both giving and receiving a lot; or ones that just have really generous friends in them), or they're really really good at solving hard puzzles, and frequently end up in puzzle-giveaways that few other people have solved, giving them a high chance of winning. If you want, you could go for either -- even if no high-profile group wants to accept you, if you're willing to be generous yourself and start a group where you give away a lot, with rules that people have to give something away within a week of receiving something, it'll probably take off eventually and you'll win a lot in return. Or you could just try to watch the forums and get better at solving puzzles. Or, if neither of those appeal, you could just relax and look at SG as like browsing a catalog for fun -- entering giveaways because it's cool to dream about winning, and just being happy with the occasional thing you do win.
Or it could be because SG is secretly rigged against you and cg's secret alts actually win every giveaway! Shh, don't tell anyone.

I've been in more than 50 giveaways, and most of them I've been within the first 50-150 people to enter the giveaway. Why is it, then, that I haven't won a SINGLE time, and there's some people who are getting constant jackpots?
Also, I don't get why people say "thank you!" in giveaways when there's a really high chance they won't win! This is a great idea, just that it would be much better if there was a FAIR CHANCE FOR WINNING. AGREED?
