So as the tittle says, I have gifted a game to a user on the site, he claimed the game and activated it and after 2 weeks he marked it as not received. I have submitted a support ticket, got an answer after 1 week to submit proof for this, I did, but since then there has been no activity. So now 1 month later I still have this game on my profile marked as not received. Is there anything else that I can try to do in this case or just wait for a reply from support ?
I tried to contact the user via steam, e-mail, both unsuccessful. He didn't reply to my e-mail and neither did he accept my friend request.
I feel kinda disappointed especially since it was a level 4 giveway just to avoid this kind of things to happen.

He seems active on Steamgifts. Have you tried messaging him in one of his giveaways?

That's actually a good idea, I have not tried that. Thank you. I shall try this as well.

I have actually been blacklisted by him and I cannot go on to his giveways. Sigh.

If he happened to comment in one of yours, or somewhere you've seen him, you could try that too. Might be a long shot though.

I think the idea was to respond to one of his comments outside of the giveaways.

Are you sure about that ?

The weird thing is the winner is not even Lvl 2 but they apparently had some kind of CV glitch that temporarily put them over Lvl 2.

My bad, that one is level 2. But the rest I've made next week I've set them on level 4. To avoid this.

It helps but not 100%. Yesterday I had to reroll a Lvl 7 giveaway from a bot user who was constantly online but didn't bother to activate his win within a week.

Normally I wouldn't recommend that but since 4 weeks seems strangely long considering support has currently mostly caught up with tickets you might wanna file another ticket about it.

What exactly did you submit as proof ? (Don't link the screenshot) I would recommend a screenshot of the game in the winners Library and maybe another one of the sent key here on SG. (Unless it was a gift. Then one of your gifting history in Steam.)

I had to reroll as well winner, they answer really fast on those ones. I'll wait some more and see if someone replies. I was just thinking maybe other users had this happen to them and found a solution with the winner, somehow, even tho the winner is avoiding me. I suppose not even a solution would be the proper word since he has activated the game but to provide correct feedback. Anyway. thanks for the reply.

Addendum: I generally recommend to always use SGTools - Rulechecker to check up on your winners for not activated games and multiple wins prior to sending the game and request a reroll when something smells fishy. If the winner has already been punished for their prior infractions Support will simply decline the reroll, otherwise they will reroll the gib and punish the winner in the process.

I just did that now. Was not impressed about what I have found. Too late now. Will be more careful in the future with this.

maybe the key got revoked, pity he doesn't want to contact you.

keep waiting for support, we can't do anything. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

He still has the game on his steam profile. So the key still works.

wow he's a funny guy -.-

did you send the ticket as "request received feedback"? that might do the trick.

I did, I've also made another ticket for a user report for incorrect feedback since I cannot get a hold of him and this is actually not a nice thing to do. I don't generally report people. I think this is my second report since I joined this website. First one was for a game I won which wasn't delivered. ^_^

For some reasons he doesn't have 4th episode - "abe lincoln must die"

That's weird, it doesn't appear indeed. The gift was a sole key so I don't know how would that happen. Or if what is shown is actually correct.

be careful - this whole thing could be considered as calling out (I am just saying, in case) - as we all now know who the person is and we are digging :P

perhaps best just to let admins deal with :)

Almost certain this does not count as calling out. It's not OPs fault that we have too much time on our hands and OP has only 1 not delivered gib :D

Well, I am trying to find alternative ways to get in touch with him from other users that may have experienced this. I was just reading his steam profile and I found 2 other comments regarding delayed feedback. And technically yes, the information about who am I referring to can be found easily but... I don't know how else I could approach this.

yeah we have had similar issues in the past :) - but admins gave feedback alteration in the end for us - good luck :)

if i had to take a wild guess, i'd say it was probably an accident on their behalf. they probably went to redeem the won title, and got a "you already own" error and didn't read it closely, and just assumed it was a duplicate error instead. that particular package can be entered even if owned still.

i'm not saying that's a valid excuse, nor am i claiming for certain that's what happened. but i could see that happening from someone who's not paying close enough attention.

It could potentially be a mistake/fluke like you're suggesting because he or her didn't have much problems activating and marking received his or her other wins.

SGTools giveaways have a lot of functionality that will avoid these (public giveaway) situations, I know this from experience making both public giveaways and SGTools giveaways. There's quit a difference. ^^

If I had to guess I would say maybe and just maybe, he activated the game which went all well, when he later checked the game in his library he couldn't find the exact entry to this game since it's actually 6 separate episodes. So there is no entry in his library that says "Hmmm & hmmm: ..." When he realised this he might have panicked, set the giveaway to not received, blacklisted you, maybe because he doesn't know English very well and feels very uncomfortable dealing with this.

In cases like these it would be great if we could discuss these kind of matters in private with other people on the site.

I wasn't being sarcastic if that was the impression you got. I actually think it's a good thing that when somebody repeatedly breaks the rules it's good that their wrongdoings are pointed out to them. How else are they going to learn if they keep getting away with breaking the rules.

It says 2 on their profile but if you look closely (hover your cursor over 2 weeks) you'll see it's 2 weeks 6 days (so probably originally 3 when the suspension was issued) so I rounded up ;)

In the future, start with a "Request Received Feedback" ticket as that type is easy to approve. You can also file a User Report, but the research necessary for such tickets increases the amount of time you will have to wait for resolution.

And of course, always take screenshots of what you send to your winners.

They are easy to approve? I have had a Request Received Feedback ticket open for over a month. Lol sorry to comment on an old post, was looking up something and stumbled upon this. XD Necromancy of week old posts for the win lol >.<

Such tickets only require a bit of research on our part. If we can get the info quickly, we can approve them quickly.
