Do you find minor UI changes more often annoying, or useful?
Hi GeoSol, previously it was Giveaways for Steam Games and it's been updated to Free Giveaways and Keys for Steam Games. It's changed to target a few more keywords on popular Google searches. I can see how it could be annoying when you get in the habit of recognizing the first few letters in the browser tab, but I think it's worth experimenting with these type of changes to see their impact on organic traffic.

The game page is a very good addition! I liked it very much. I wonder if you guys are considering this idea here:

I feel that's a very useful feature. In my case, I'm slowly ignoring on Steam all the games I have on other platforms (Epic, Gog, Prime Gaming, Origin, etc.), which is something I try to do here on SteamGifts too. Having everything centralized on Steam and just flick a switch to migrate it to SG would save a lot of work!

Thx for the info. Maybe i was also recalling the slight annoyance when it was changed to "Giveaways..."
As i get older, i suppose adapting to change will keep getting harder. Which is why i notice.
Not really something to care about for more than a few moments.
Mad THX! for all your hard work on this wonderful site and community! o/

Wait, people actually use words instead of just recognizing icons?

Haha sounds like my wife. She complains that her computer is slow, and I show her the browser and try to explain that, while 16 gigs of ram is normally good enough for the kind of work she does, having 100 tabs open starts to have an effect.

A simple userscript to revert to the old page title :)
// ==UserScript==
// @name SteamGifts - Revert Page Title
// @namespace https://www.steamgifts.com/user/ormax3
// @author ormax3
// @match https://www.steamgifts.com/
// @match https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaways/search*
// @icon https://cdn.steamgifts.com/img/favicon.ico
// ==/UserScript==
document.title = document.title.replace(/^Free Giveaways and Keys/, 'Giveaways');
Personally I don't mind either way, the icon is all I look at to differentiate tabs.

I don't really understand the phrase "free giveaways."
Doesn't something being "given away" already imply that it's free?
If it wasn't free, could it still be called a giveaway?
I guess this is just for the Google algorithm, to generate traffic. So it probably doesn't matter. Spelling and grammar are well on their way towards being irrelevant anyway.

I often have a few, to a couple dozen tabs open, and just noticed a recent change to the SG homepage.
Using Chrome, the tab's title was just Steamgifts.com, but now has been changed.
Not super annoying, but when i have a few pages on SG open I glitch due to the homepage tab now starting with "Free" instead of "Steamgifts" and get lost looking through tabs that start with "Steam"
