Anybody has a non-original controller to play on Steam? Is there any problem with it?

Well I had Logitech F510 (discontinued wired version of F710) and my trigger buttons were activating themselves after being pressed and released, like they were left stuck inside the controller while buttons physically were returned as they should be. So I took it to service I still had like 1 month of guarantee left (lucky me yeah...), they called me back a week after and told me that it's not possible to repair it nor replace faulty parts and that I can neither get replacement F510 due to it being discontinued (this is where I found out it was discontinued) and they offered me either F310 or F710. So I asked "Okay, is it possible to choose something else and either pay the difference or refund difference in price of the chosen product" so they told me it was possible and I went there and bought XBone original controller for half its price. Now I just need to wait for official drivers from lazy ass Microsoft and enjoy it!

My family uses two from Logitech. The Dual Action and the Rumble Pad F510. After trying them, I have never used the one that Microsoft made after that.

All this about people having their cheap controllers broken like what? 10 euros for 1 controller that look like a the PS one except it's just a copy and works fine on everything . Why even bother ? I don't know how do you even get it broken? I mean the quality isn't as great as the XBOX / PS one but surely it works just fine !

No, not at all. Every mouse/keyboard/controller has an average number of button presses before the button is likely to break. The cheap controllers have a MUCH lower average number to a quality product.

I think Logitech ones will be OK.

Had a Razer Onza before. Crapped out after a few months with barely any use. It was apparently a common problem. So don't go for Razer's overpriced trash.

Got Xbox 360 Wireless Controller with reciever for Windows, now i have 2 of them in addinational to first, which was with Xbox 360 itself. Now we can connect 2 gamepads to PC or to Xbox, pretty useful. Microsoft made best gamepad. Most of PC games also have support of Xbox 360 gamepad, without any problems with controls and programs. Windows = Microsoft = Xbox

Yep. The original Xbox Controllers are amazing. At first i thought about buying a cheaper controller but in the end i choose the Xbox controller and i don't regret my decision because it is awesome.

Go for the Xbox controler. It is definitely worth it. You may say it is expensive (or so I did comparing it to others) but if you save up money for it you will like it even more.

I have a rainbow controller, and I have no problem with steam. You only have to download ''xbox 360 cemu'' to play correctly with it.

The correct term would be "third party controller"

I would never buy crappy parts for my computer. I prefer spending 60$ on an original controller instead of spending $20 in one, $20 again in some months and $20 in some months again. Without mentioning the quality, of course.
