Whenever I try to sign-in to SteamTrades.com, I'm met with the same error. It says, "We experienced an error while trying to verify your Steam level." and my only options are [Try Again] and [Logout]. Neither trying again nor logging out have fixed my issue. Is this a known problem?

Have you tried to delete you cookies and/or using another browser?

I deleted cookies for SteamTrades.com and that didn't fix the issue.

Same exact issue. Logged out, deleted cookies, waited an entire day, still get the same error. Did it resolve for you?

The OP hasn't logged in since their last comment. Perhaps try adding them on Steam and asking instead.

Not a bad idea, though part of my motivation for posting here as well is that if they got any help from people more familiar with the site, those people might see and post an answer here. No idea how active the admin/tech staff are here — it's been nearly a decade since I last logged in.

Ignore those "this is steamgifts" comments. As Taco said below, it is allowed here.

Someone might know but Sagely did solve this issue (ST says he was online 2 weeks ago so he did login).

As for staff/admin ... well the lack of support even on SG is a heated topic, so other users or Sagely are your best bet.

Appreciate the info, yeah I'll reach out to them. And yes, it's funny seeing people who have been users here for years that somehow haven't noticed that the sites link to one another at the bottom of the page, have the same owner, and have only one Support/Bugs board or contact option between them — this one.

Support here at SteamGifts will not assist you with any issues regarding SteamTrades.

There's a reason SteamTrades has no 'support' option -- there is no official support available for that website.

They may be 'sister sites' but SteamTrades is sort of the red-headed stepsister in the basement that no one talks about.

Hi LiverB, I think the issue should be resolved now.

Same site owner. ST is a sister site to SG.
There is no support on ST.

Do the math ...
3+2+1+4+5 = 15

How have you been here 4 years and you are oblivious about X Copies?

I have the same problem, in Steamgift I was able to create the account. But not on steamtrades. Any solution?

It seems like an issue with the API key (it must be hitting the daily limit). I switched to the SteamGifts keys for now so you should be able to register. I'll get a new API key for SteamTrades this evening.

Same issue here. Cleared cookies and cache, tried multiple browsers. No luck. Profile has been set to public for a long time as well (weeks at least).

It happened to me that they hacked my PC and entered the page (I left Steam with my session in the browser) and they banned me. And I don't know who to contact, I wanted to change some keys since in my country it is very difficult to buy through Steam at the moment

Sorry to bump this post, but I'm having an issue signing in myself. Don't think I've been signed out the last few years, but I just reinstalled my os a couple of weeks ago and went to sign in, and every time I click Sign In on the openid steam login page, it just redirects me back to the steamtrades homepage without actually signing me in. I've asked around and it doesn't seem like other people are having this issue, and obviously I'm able to sign in here, so not really sure what the problem is.

EDIT: Just tried on a different browser (firefox) and it worked, still not working on chrome. Tried to disable all of my extensions to see if there was a conflict of some kind and it didn't help.

EDIT 2: Seems to be working now after clearing all site specific data for the browser and resetting all permissions to default, but still not sure why this happened, it was my first time visiting the site since the reset so nothing should've been stored/changed with regards to ST.
