G2A is garbage anyways.
Thanks for the info, thanks for all of the stuff.
*edit It would be best to stop talking about them & stop using them. Let them die off.

Wow, did you sell something or was it for a referral? (If it may be asked.)

my connection with G2A at the moment is they spamming my email, i tried to sell a few games on their site and it was pretty good but that ended once i contacted their support (multiple times actually) and they always treated me like a scammer (like if i was trying to sell fake keys or revoked steam gifts), even if they get those kind of people a lot it does not mean that everyone is like that

There has never been anything good with them (sometimes yes), for either a seller or buyer. At that point we must solidify a pact to never talk about them. Once that happens, they no longer exist.

I guess those streamers lost their profit, maybe they asked for a pay hike and G2A refused :V

Must be that and not the fact that G2A is a shady business.
"raising issue with how G2A gets its keys and how the Marketplace is run"
"due to the confusion and controversy over their Marketplace system"
"I will never promote G2A, 99Gamers, or any site like them again. Really apologize for that"

by the other hand steam could do a way to check steam keys, many users asked for that feature on steam before and it would actually make G2A and other games resellers legit
steam already did something about revoked gift games (even if is not working very well)

I'm not sure, so I'll ask, is that irony or... ?
"I will never promote G2A, 99Gamers, or any site like them again. Really apologize for that"
This makes me think that before the shitstorm they used to promote that sites (for money, what else ? :C )
Now, I find really naive thinking that they weren't aware of those shady business.
Simply their gain is too low to justify a relationship with those shady entity...
And here goes the crusade for the justice

I would dare say that most of the people that are aware of G2A's existence aren't at the same time aware of how it's not exactly an entirely legal/legit business model. The general mentality is "I had no problem so they must be legit". Why would that be different for streamers? Sure, it's hypocritical to abandon ship when info about how G2A is a gray area business surfaced, but the streamers involved might not have been aware of that. Even if they did know, isn't it better if they pulled back, however late (and it's not really late yet) or hypocritical that might be?
Also, I don't get you putting the word again in bold - wasn't it clear from the title and the OP that the streamers involved were previously sponsored by G2A but then decided to break the link (which was, I'd rather presume - soon after they realized how gray market G2A really is)?

I agree with you, some users may follow the "I had no problem so they must be legit"
But... streamers ? Well they are in the gaming sector, not like you and me, it's their "work" they are not newbie, they MUST know which games could be good to stream, which games are followed, etc...
Ok, you are right, at least now they decided to close their relationship and well, it's fine, but it's how they did... "OMG THEY ARE MONSTERS ! I'm out of here 'cause I'm a good guy ;D" so all I can say is "Really ? you took their money till yesterday ;D"
I cannot believe that they weren't aware of that. They have tons of followers, those followers got redirected to G2A... there are 2 options:
For the bold, I've read the Sacriel twit (maybe re-twitted by someone i follow, idk) and that's what I thought in that moment (i don't follow streamer so, it was a guess)

Just to give you some perspective:
Cohhcarnage mentioned that G2A paid him more than his previous 40 hour job in IT (support AFAIK) in the US did. That is flat, without any additional revenue from the sales.
That is a ludicrous amount of money when you think about it and the main reason a lot of streamers are so willing to promote and defend G2A. Streaming even with a good viewerbase is still an insecure business, having that kind of money guaranteed for however long the contracts last is a huge opportunity to secure their way of life.
Up until the recent Ubisoft outrage most cases of fraud on G2A were limited to Indie devs, which were much easier to ignore than this big case.

Those kind of guys have some "manager" hidden behind their webcam.
Streaming is still an insecure business, you are right, but the "hate" of the internet could nuke their "public image" forever
A sponsor is dead, another sponsor will come, it's still easy to manage that.
Your fanbase hates you, well, better find a real job

Started to read their shit but I stopped here... enough bullshit for me: "It is important to note that G2A is a common and legitimate point of sales for many developers to sell keys outside Steam.".
Unfortunately, many of their loyal consumer will still trust them with this kind of fake statement. They have 2, maybe 3, indie devs who are using G2A, for the rest of the keys sold BY G2A (I'm not talking about the seller in the market place here), none of the devs or publishers know that their games are sold by/on G2A, which mean that the keys G2A is selling are not supposed to be sold on G2A.
Let's hope the other biggest streamers on Twitch also drop support of G2A and Kinguin soon, that should be enough for everybody else to understand that those site are not a good place to buy a game safely.

I mean how dense do you have to be to think that site SELLING A PROTECTION AGAINST SHADY KEYS is legit? :D

Seems that in the last couple of days, a small number of streamers has brought their relationship with G2A to a halt. Here's some tweets:
Also TotalBiscuit chimed in.
In return, G2A has issued a response. Seems pretty bland if you ask me.
