Sometimes it is impossible to leave a message on a person's Profile as they have the Comment section disabled for non-friends. If the option is there, I will post a message why I am attempting to add that person to my friend list.:)

I'm curious but not that curious so I decline every random add because of my experiences since being 12 years on steam: random adds = people that want to use u me or collect me to boost their Steam profiles and especially by those that are in to Counterstrike/CS GO; scammers, beggars, those that add me to simple say that I'm a stinking Jew or other insults and who are essentially the worst of the worst....TL DR: There's a reason that I have a locked down Steam account...

I personally always add them (except if the profile already looks shady (low level, no image, etc) just to ask why the added me. If they don't give a particular reason, I delete them again. Sometimes (only happened once or twice so far) someone tries to scam me, but I have fun making a fool of them :p

We are fine and I finished one project...so a little bit more time @home and for SG :-)
i have heard a lot of things in the past year, cause I have frequent contact to certain people....sometimes you don't know if you should cry or laugh about the madness.....all over the world.......fact: even here on some days it's not allowed to dance.....not for individuals...but as an official or commercial event.

I don't think I see what your point is. I mean, if someone would go like "hey, this guy Devirk over there, he's my good friend. let's trade" and then someone would ask me if I know that guy and if I can confirm that he's not a scammer I'd say that I can't and that he may scam them. So, what's the problem with having scammers in my friends list?

welp, makes sense. anyway, after your warning I went to steamrep just in case and phew, I'm clean. No scammers. Just a couple VAC bans and a private profile (but that's my irl friend so that's ok) :)

I add anyone who randomly adds me. Some of these have never interacted with me before or afterwards. They just sit in the 'Random' category I made for them until they reveal themselves as scammers or otherwise give me a reason to move/remove them.
So yeah, never use someone's position on my friends list as an indication that they can be trusted.

Don't forget to check your Steam friends list to get sure scammers are not among them. I know it's common to have hundred(s) users in your friend list but sometimes THESE SCAMMERS use YOU and your REPUTATION to scam others.
