Advice on "sent gift" button

(It's only been about 2 days but) A GA winner hasn't accepted my friend request on Steam so that I can send him the gift, I've written in my GA description that the winner will be added on steam for the steam gift.

Should I mark as "sent gift" under my "Sent" column?

Does it matter or show up any different for the winner if I've marked it as "sent"? or affect reroll support?

I know steam has an option to send gift by email but I don't feel comfortable with sending an open link over email like that which can be picked up by anyone and leave grounds for argument that I didn't send the gift or they didn't receive the email or someone hacked their email etc. Am I forced to send it by email? If not, what is an acceptable time range to request a reroll if he hasn't accepted my friend request?

I really think there should be an option as "Steam Friend requested" under the "key" column. Humble links have their own thing and this site being a steam key giveaway site should have steam gifts as 2nd or 3rd most common occurrence. This way, the winner will know that the GA creator has already tried to contact them.

Dont mark it as sent until you have sent i .

You have 1 week to send the gift , if he doesnt accept yout friend request by then you can ask support for a re-roll

Also make sure you check when was he last online .

Some ppl dont log in daily :)

Alright thanks :) I've checked and they've recently been online, both on SG and steam but just haven't responded yet.

what is an acceptable time range to request a reroll if he hasn't accepted my friend request?

7 days. If after 7 days he hasn't responded to any way you try to contact him you are eligible for a reroll. Make sure to include screenshots with the date you sent the request too in your ticket.

take a screenshot now that you added him. if he doesn't accept your invite in 7 days, request a reroll.

you can also send the gift to his email and take a screenshot of it. if after 1 week he doesn't redeem it, cancel the gift (you can return it from your inventory) and request a reroll with proof you tried to send it.

It is a DLC. I would want to check if the winner already owns the DLC.

You should leave a message on one of his ga's saying that's the reason you are trying to add them on Steam. Some people don't accept friend requests on Steam from people they don't know. He may have not realized that the person sending a friend request is the same person he won a ga from.
