I did beta, didn't like it that much. If it was free forever I might play it but 48 hours not really worth the download in my opinion.

"Your Origin Game Time clock begins when you first launch the game after it’s been fully downloaded and installed. Once started, the clock will continue to run whether you’re in the game or taking a break." - So I think your playtime (48hrs) starts after you have downloaded and installed the game.

Pretty much this. According to the e-mail I got:

"This receipt is for the Origin Game Time version of Titanfall. Titanfall Origin Game Time 48 hour free play begins the first time Titanfall is launched from Origin, after it is fully installed to your PC. Loved what you played during Origin Game Time? You can purchase the game from the Origin store to continue your progress."

So basically you can take as long as you like to download it. Once you launch it for the first time your free 48 hours starts. So really this seems better to me than a free Steam weekend.

Yep, exactly. Though similar to Steam Free Weekends, this is like a custom version, allowing you to select when to start the play timer.

Actually, it's much better than Steam. You couldn't say it, could you? :D

"48 hours with the full game."
Of course it's 50ish GB, it's the full game 0-0
(blame people with low/mid systems for that. Most of that 50 is uncompressed audio and video so they don't have to use as much resources.)

Blame the gaming industry where it's more and more a standard to release what is not optimized yet. Not so long ago, games were great, stables as soon as they were released, and still you could play even with low/mid systems. Now it's all about "they'll buy a better machine why would we care about optimization ?" and it sucks. And I'm not even talking about console games being ported badly to PC...

I can confirm that the 48h timer starts after you first launch the game.

So, go ahead and download it if you really want to try it.

It runs good on the low settings it has pre-set itself to on my crappy machine... but for my 1GB GDDR5 VRAM it set itself to 2x MSAA with double-buffered Vsync and LOW textures... aren't they just geniouses =)

I can't afford it and Origin bores me so anyway.
