Xbox 720 Rumors

I don't think so. I play videogames to relax, I would never invest in a WII/Kinect or Playstation Move. I'm not saying everyone is like that, but a majority of people would rather sit than stand.

kinnect is actually pretty good. the voice recognition works 99% of the time, the dashboard is easily controlled with hand motions.
the kinnect has 3 problems:
1)price --> it's a expensive
2)developers dont know how to make games with this technology
3)it uses the processing power of the console to "see" the motions and because of that the graphics have to be reduced and there might be some lag in the input.

It starts off slow like that all the time though. That happened with WII games that didn't work correctly because of the motion sensors that were added into the game. I mean I'd rather just relax and not have to move around while playing a videogame. I don't see the point.

Maybe the production/support will last until 2015, but they will release their new console before that.
The article was written when the slim version of the 360 was released, so it's obvious they would rather say that the console will last quite a few years if they wanted to sell it, than say that the next console will be out in 3 years, making the slim version less appealing.

In a few years most smartphones will probably have enough GPU power & memory/storage to run any game at 1080p. Add in mini-HDMI output & wireless controllers. The next-gen consoles shouldn't be anything more than a slightly modified tablet device or mobile phone.
