Good evening everyone, so I will be getting a new TV and possibly an Xbox One Wireless controller for PC which opens an opportunity for extra lazy bed gaming. I have been enjoying Vanishing of Ethan Carter so much that I am eager for something more like that. Also, Dear Esther, Cradle, Kholat and The old city: Leviathan are not to be left without mentioning, loved those as well. Amongst other categories of games I sometimes really like to grab something with calming music, beautiful atmosphere and cool story (if there is any :D) and relax after a long day. After lurking the categories Steam has to offer, I have seen a few other games that seem to be quite fun for couch gaming like Albino Lullaby, Gone Home or so which I have not played yet.

So I was wondering if there are any of you guys that could give any suggestions for games like The Vanishing of Ethan Carter that could be enjoyable with a controller? Like I said, atmospheric and a story oriented games would be awesome. :)

Thank you.

I dont know much about the Ethan Carter game but if you want one with a good story that can be played with a controller i reccomend Final Fantasy XIII.

Well, I was never really a fan of Final Fantasy games. Actually, I never fully checked them out, but it looks like I will have to. Thanks!

Also, whats the diff between an xbox one controller and a 360? Is it worth switching over to?

I will look forward it, appreciate the help mate!

Honestly, I have no idea. I do not own any controller at the moment except the 10$ crappy one which does not support any games. Reason I am looking forward to xbox one controller is that it is newer and cooler looking and also you can find a package with included wireless adapter for PC. I found out it is a pain if you want to find an adapter for xbox 360 wireless controller.

To The Moon isn't much like Ethan Carter, but it has an AMAZING little story and is very relaxing to play, with a great musical score, too. It's kind of a mystery tale that you figure out as the story develops.

I have heard a lot about that game and the only thing that holds me back is its 2D model. Anyway, its nothing really that bad so I might just go for it. Thank you for help!

I was the same way at first (about it being 2D and all). I played A Bird Story (by the same devloper) after picking it up in a bundle and loved it, so I gave To The Moon a shot, and it was even better. I stayed up a whole night to finish it. If you can get it on sale, it's completely worth it, and easily played with a controller. :)

I will lurk Steam about it this month, maybe something pops up for Christmas. :)
Haha I get you about staying up all night because of that, had a same "problem" with some other games as well. There is just something about these atmospheric games, in my case, with cool story and awesome graphics which force you to explore every tiny bit of the world which I totally love. That was The Vanishing of Ethan Carter for me, maybe just because I haven't played much games alike or just because I got into the right game. :)
