if you buy an steam game from amazon it will come in form of key?

As long as it is a Steam game (not all games there are), then yes, you will get a key. Only the Steam store gives you inventory items.

Depends on the game you are buying, if it says DRM: Steam, then yes.

Also if you aren't from the US, watch out for region locked games.

Best bet is to ask here or a similar forum, and see if anyone else outside of the US has bought it. Most are safe though, but there are at least two games which have been region locked to the US.

you have to ask on the forums about that and hope that someone will know I guess. :S

I risked it with Binary Domain and the key worked for me here in Europe.
