Planetside 2 GIVEAWAY on IGN (2 giveaways links)

Had a key and been playing for 2 weeks. You'll all be disappointed. The engine is a unoptimized piece of junk - with a mid range nvidia and 4gb of ram (an admittedly low/moderate build rig) it is unplayable.

Turn everything down to get playable FPS and it looks like its underwater. All this with an engine that was "designed to work on lower-end computers" and I've tried it on two: DDR2, DDR3, two different midrange nvidia's, one processor 3 years old and one brand new.

Absolutely could not have screwed the pooch worse. Great game built on a terrible engine.

How long did you play 5 minutes? because the game is mostly infantry combat unless you just go for vehicles only, once you actually get into capping bases the only way to do it is with infantry. Also I have been in massive battles quite a few times, attacking zurvan amp station it was a 3 way battle the choke points were insane with 100 guys trying to get through a small ally way with a whole base firing at them, and random skirmishes inside the base.

The problem in the start was that you could attack and capture areas that were anywhere on the map now you need to capture points that are connected to ones you own concentrating the battles more also atm hotspots don't really indicate where the biggest battles are sometimes you will see a hotspot and you will drop into an empty battlefield. They are still tweaking this also so its no where near the way it will be at release.
