I preordered it for 10β¬, now I can buy it for 20β¬? Damn it!

yes, I'm too stupid to PO bioshock infinite, don't starve and borderlands 2 and brutal legends and look.
PO deal for B:I is waaaaaaaaay better than 50% sale (36$ for B:I + XCOM:EU + mafia II + Bioshock 2)
Don't starve was 12$ for 2 pack, and now, 15$ on 40% sale only
Borderlands 2 PO gets you free unexpected DLCs
Brutal Legends PO price was 15$ with 2 TF2 items. I basically bought them for 3$ as those tf2 items sold for 12$
suck on that

Can't forget the TF2 items that came with the pre-order of Don't Starve. They went for a pretty penny on the marketplace when they were first made salable. If you played your cards right, each copy of DS ended up costing around three bucks each. Might have even been a better deal, but I didn't see the highest sale price available at the time.
I doubt that Steam will have that kind of deal for it any time soon.

That was a good deal. Makes me wish I had the money to buy Brutal Legend when it was first up on Steam, because those TF2 items sure can add to your savings. Same with cards. You sell the ones you got with BL? If so, you got an even better deal. lol
I just thought about the fact that I sold off my Don't Starve trading cards when they were about 1.20 each. Means I actually made a profit off of the game. :B

The Don't Starve 2-pack is only slightly more expensive now than it was to pre-order. The single copy is cheaper than it ever was.
The Borderlands 2 pre-order gets you nothing of the sort. All pre-ordering gave you was the Mechromancer DLC, and that was very much advertised.
I can't really harp on the BioShock Infinite pre-order incentives though, that was a pretty sweet deal.

that depends, depends on what you pre order and from which store you preorder. Preordering full game before release generally gives you some extra bonus for instance some in-game character skin, special weapen, expansion pack and some maps as well. And there are many legit 3rd party stores that have different offer on preoder. Brave new world is not a game, instead, it is a DLC for civ 5 so preordering it could only give you a discount of it or stuffs for other games but that is the business of 2K. But overall, preordering is a good way against piracy and get early fund from buyer and players can get extra bonus, it is not that stupid.

Sooo, I have yet to see any reasoning behind this post, just that the OP is insiunating that everyone who preorders is stupid. I've actually preordered quite a few games. (Both console and PC) There were only one or two games I regret preordering, or buying in early stages. But many of the times, I got it for a lot cheeper than release, also in the case of BNW the only real reason it's 33% off after release is because it was released so close to the steam summer sale, so it was allowed the chance to be in it. Also, just so ya know about this, it was released like 2-3 days before the sale, so they did have people buy it full price also, because they like the series.
Plus, people who like a series/saga or whatever you wish to call it, and can tell they havent changed the core mechanics, will preorder it no matter what because THEY LIKE THE GAME SERIES. A lot of people don't give a flying flup if it's discounted or for any bonuses, but if you base preordering SOLEY on that, only to hate the game....good luck coming across a really good game that you like if you keep doing that.

I only regret my pre-orders if a game's bad. If I'm willing to pre-order it, it means I REALLY want it. I can't say any of my pre-orders have horribly dissapointed me, and I regret nothing.

I guess I'm a major idiot for pre-ordering Super Meat Boy and Don't Starve. lol
Come on, mkrnic. Some of us really like supporting the devs who make our games. Pre-orders do that. And there are situations like DS. Don't Starve's pre-order was still a much better deal than its current sale price.
And though SMB was heavily discounted just a month or so after release, I couldn't care less. Was more than worth the ten that I payed for it. Some of us look at value per dollar spent, rather than if we got the best deal or not.
And as for situations like this, you never know when a game will have a sale like that. They usually don't. So it's less "Being an idiot" and more "Took a gamble and lost out a little".

If you're making useless threads like this, you're stupid too.

Hrumm, well then, I am an idiot for pre-ordering Rome 2: Total War.
What did I get out of it? Oh well, I only got some few TF2 items, a good DLC (Which imo. should have been included in the game), and I supported one of my most favourite franchises and developers. Ah well, that is surely very bad.

Sooo... Civ V Brave New World was released. You could have preordered at 10% off. But if you did that, because you're stupid enough to preorder anything, you just got effed because BNW is on a 33% sale, less than half a day after release.
Ha ha!
