I'm aware that nvidia is currently the leader. This is mainly because AMD only became a close opponent in the last few years. Previously AMD's fastest cards were slower than those by nvidia, they were also not as qualitative. Problems, such as over heating and high power usage were often associated with AMD cards, but not with nvidia's. Many people still believe that this is the case, and try to avoid AMD because of that. Although now AMD has changed and is just as good as nvidia, giving a little extra (such as these awesome free games) may get them in the lead for a change.

Lol, nice bullshit, where you got your sources from?
So far, i have ALWAYS bought a Nvidia card first, but ALWAYS had to return due to problems that arrived, swapped them in for AMD equivalent, guess what, never had a single problem with those...
Just to mention, (3x)6600GTX nonstop showing artifacts but no sign of overheating (swapped for x1950 pro), GTX260BE no HMDI sound nor 60Hz on 1080p and movies lagged when playing on 1080p (swapped for HD4890), GTX470 overheating to 110 degrees, wich later was a known problem for the 4xx series (swapped for HD6870).
Currently, almost 2 years later, i'm still rocking with the same HD6870 (altho there is a second in there now).
So based on my story, i could conclude that Nvidia is pure shit and everyone should stay away from it.
But that's bullshit, both manufactures got faulty cards and fuck up now and then, so both are just as bad.
So your story is full of nonsense and comes only from things you WANTED to see happening, blind fanboys are blind :D

Fanboys? Who am I a fanboy of, then? If you did not notice I'm representing both sides.
I obviously haven't owned every nvidia card before 4xx series and every amd card before 5xxx series, so I can't prove that what I said is true, but very often it was the case. Even if you look at the specs, older AMD, or should I say ATI cards were more resource hungry and often had problems with cooling unless you installed some additional cooling system. I have no doubt that AMD's 5xxx series and up easily beats the corresponding nvidia series cards.
I only outlined some known nvidia's positive sides because the guy said "Nvidia still has a healthy lead of market share over AMD."

My thoughts exactly, totally gonna get Watch Dogs for below retail now, was probably gonna buy it on launch anyways but this is nice.

Lol yes, it's been known at the start, and all gameplay shown of it was on a PC. Even during the PS4 conference, it was being played on a PC, stated a Ubisoft rep themself.

Wowzers!!! Pity I bought my card a couple of years ago now. Can hopefully trade these for cheap!
EDIT: Both companies have done this in the past but the games packaged have been old or not really worth it. This certainly puts AMD ahead by a little bit.

I meant more in the 90s and early 2000s. I still remember getting Trackmania (cant remember) and CS COndition Zero as bundled games. Problem was that this was about 4 years after both were released!

Seems like I'll postpone my vga upgrading 'til AMD bundle it with watch dogs. sigh

I'm not totally desperate for those games to get a 7990 for 1k$ and get 8 games.
Sure its a great deal, but as a hungy student who relies on scholarship/grants. Not a chance.
Also god damn that 7990 power requirement. I don't have a PSU to handle that.
Maybe a third 7870 (lol?) if they can give me watch dogs and grid 2 and etc for it.
