Morally I would say it depends. The two smartest people I know are dating each other and they are 4 years apart in age and met when he was graduating and she was entering high school. They have been dating for several years and I can say that they seem very happy. However on the flip side I see many people (mostly girls) with much older partners while they are in high school. In many cases those in the relationship(usually the older partner) are people who are as I put it "less than reputable" and "sketchy". I don't mean to judge but generally they are people going nowhere in their lives. In some cases it is because they can provide them with transportation and/or tobacco/alcohol products. I'm currently in college and some of my friends date people 3-4 years older then them in their first year (they were fresh from high school).

While fact checking my post found some information that I wanted to include was inaccurate. There is no scientific evidence that I could find that suggests that women emotionally or mentally mature sooner then men (they do however physically). Dating and marrying people who are younger (and young in general) has been the cultural norm for hundreds of years all across the world, and it is socially acceptable to this day in many places. Personally I think it all comes down the individuals and how they approach the relationship. They should meet the parents and take it one step at a time.

I'd say there's nothing wrong with it at all but, assuming you're talking about yourself, since you're questioning whether there is a problem with it, perhaps you should question whether you truly like this girl instead. If you really liked her, you wouldn't have a problem with something as simple as age.
