PS4 Pro worth

I'm aware this site is focused on computer gaming, but it happens many people here have experience on consoles and PS4 in particular.
Now my young boy wants a PS4 and he will be probably getting one in some months.
My question is: is it worth to consider the Pro version instead of the normal Slim version?

As far as I know the Pro has a price premium of about 100€ and no extra inside the box.
Performance wise, I'd like to know if it has some clear advantage, taken in account that if it does not break it will be used during all its life cycle (so it will have to cope with the games that come even in its last years) and that I'm definitely interested in the VR kit.
For you to understand the immediately expected use, he is mainly interested in Fifa and Pes, while I might try some racing game and some exclusive such as The Last of Us and The Last Guardian. We won't have a Plus subscription and do online multiplayer. My TV is 1080p and supports 3D.

I'd like to clarify that, to be sure which one is worth to buy. If there is no clear advantage in the Pro, I'll take the Slim.

I didn't find too much difference in these above.
So, i advise PS4 Slim.

edit:I only play some Single User Game.
like : The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 , Bloodborne , FF15..etc.
on the internet some people talk about ps4 pro support Video(before 1-3 mins) and better VR.
If you will play vr games , you may consider ps4 pro.

Thanks for the link, after reading the article I'm mostly targeting the Slim one.
I'll also check the black friday sale, it comes too soon but I might consider it if some too good deal comes out. ;P

Well. if you have the money, pro is slightly more stable, it's noticeable in The Last Guardian, but overall not many games have Pro specific Options in case you wanted to try 4K or 60fps, a lot of them are even locked at 30fps,
Maybe check which games where design to showcase the PS4Pro and decide if its worth it

It's not marketing, the pro is actually more powerful, better framerate\image quality.

Anyway, if you plan to use your ps4 for fifa and a few exclusives every now and then, maybe it's not worth it.

If you don't intend to play many games on the PS4 then you should maybe just get the slim one.

If you have one of those flashy 4k televisions it may be worth investing. But I would get the normal or the slim one since you are gonna be able to play any games anyways and save some money.

i find the slim better. To me theres no major differences between the two so I would go with the slim.

If you want VR then the PRO is by far the better option. I've heard from numerous sources that it vastly improves framerate stability in many VR games.
