the thing is, i can only buy it as a gift, and when i do that, they put this on the disclaimer:
Subscription plan begins when customer redeems gift. Subscription content changes every month, so content received depends on when the customer redeems the gift. Cannot use to obtain subscription content from past months. Must be redeemed on a new or compatible subscription plan.
it'll be suck if i buy it and end up not being able to use it if i'm not compatible, so i want to make sure if i can redeem it first before purchasing. thanks for the reply btw!

Humble's new subscribers normally means that it's the first time you subscribe to choice and you never used monthly or choice before. In your case you either need to make a new account (against their terms of service) or pay the regular price.

i see. so does this mean that i can't actually pay for $99 despite being able to checkout with that price?
it's pretty weird and confusing on humble's part. thanks for the confirmation!
ps: it's not the black friday offer i think. it ends at 1/1. must be a new year promotion or something.
EDIT: just rechecked it, it's a new year sale. it's written on humble's front page.

$99 per year for new subscribers. question is, how do i know if i'm eligible?
you see, technically, i'm not a new subscriber anymore
You answered your own question.

If you would be able to apply it to your own account it wouldnt only be available as a gift. You would be able to redeem and pay right away so you had another year.

i can checkout for my own account and a gift for $99, strangely. that's why i was asking. i should have made it more clearer in my original post. i can only pay the subscription as a gift due to the limited payment options.
EDIT: updated the post. hope it's more clearer now :)

hello, just want to do a quick question. sorry if i put this in the wrong place.
i just saw that humble is doing a promotion of selling the annual plan for $99 per year for new subscribers. question is, how do i know if i'm eligible?
this might be a strange question, but i'm currently subscribed to the premium plan and i can buy the annual plan for $99 (both as a gift and for myself). my current plan was a gift though. if i buy the annual plan with this price as a gift, but will i be able to redeem it to my account later if i do that? because, you see, technically, i'm not a new subscriber anymore (despite still being able to checkout with the offer)
thanks in advance!
