ouch, 7 years ago. that's a lot. ages.
i've been browsing those old threads, for a week or so. numbers were smaller, ok, but hours and hours, to read, laugh, still enjoy. and that's only the "idea" you could get.
what makes me believe this site is still alive and kicking, tho, is here, in discussions, where toxicity might be present, still a fresh and joyful community is ready to welcome you every single day.
we should always think about us as lucky, tremendously lucky. just for being here.
now, sorry, NB, gotta check how black and white graphs are moving. very very sorry.

One of my first idea was that those games being that cheap and that good, how great (direct) gifts they could make to people. Like how the 1$ HB's Oxenfree still has immense value as a game, and not as a CV-mechanic or based on if it was bundled previously or not.

I've checked and there's one game that has never been bundled before it's
Yes you read that right, this game has also a reduced CV although this game has never been bundled before, not to my knowledge. This is unfortunate and must take an immediate concern.
Same with the DEAD BY DAYLIGHT, it's showing $0 here, but i literally don't think that it's CV should be $0

No, sorry.
But it is all the time around in the threads.
When you search you will find it.
I would search or write to any of Lilly's/Shakti's Deals Charts for new bundles.
I am sure there can people react in a few minutes -or Shakti/Lilly know it direct-
Or write the support here in the thread(s). One under our discussion is one of them as example...

It was sold for around 3€. I can't remember exactly in which shop but i am sure the thread about it exist in the deals section, and can be found with a short search. Cdkeys sounds right.
That ITAD don't list it interest the support in no way.
It was sold with a really high price reduction = got bundled status.

Hey there, can you please provide me some reference regarding the same?
Also the same applies with CODIW, is that ever bundled??? are you taking references from sites like GAMIVO and CDKEYS ?? for the reduction of CV for that game?
I checked ITAD and the historical low founded there is $17

Numerous people including another support member commented below told where it was given away for free.

It took a level 10 alienware level, and I got that in a month with relatively little effort.

You could argue that for most free games, right? Because most of the time you have to do something to get the key. Like a Facebook page, join a Steam group - whatever. Fact of the matter is, there were 10.000 keys people got for 0$. It wouldn't have been fair to give CV for that game anymore.

I think if some giveaway is there based on people's level, like there's a person telling that he got that on level 30. so i think that it isn't a FAIR justification for things that gone BUNDLED or FREE.
For eg. you can tag LAYERS OF FEAR with a free tag as it was genuinely given away for free by HB or there are other games like OXENFREE etc. as that counts to like 100000+ keys, that you can consider for a BUNDLE or GIVEAWAY
10000 keys is just meh for giving $0 CV for a game like DBD, and the same goes for CODIW.
I don't think the $5 pricetag was ever there on HB, or any other OFFICIAL STORE, beside CDKEYS.

You are entitled to your opinion on whether you think it's fair or not. But the fact remains if it's involved in a mass free giveaway it's going to be added to "free" list on SG and no CV will be given for it.

I think the reason for this is that until now steamgifts considered games from the Humble Monthly Bundle full priced and now they reduced those to the level of other bundled games. It's kinda fair, since when you buy a 'normal' (so not a monthly, but a casual weekly) bundle for like $25 from Humble Bundle and give away those games, even from the last tier, they'll still count as 'bundled'.
So yes, I understand your arguement, but it makes sense.

Games are considered bundled if the price of bundle is belove certain % of the full bundle price.
Monthly bundles usually dont drop belove this % so they count as full price, if games havent been bundles before.
Some of the monthlies had enormous full price so the asking price of 12 dollars fell belove this %, so these games become bundled.
Its not chance or some mod going berserk, its math. If one condition is met, certain something will happen.
Only now they have started doing things bit differently - for people not to exploit this monthly system with gray site keys, they add games to bundled list if the price falls on the gray market, too.

Is "do you agree" an intentionally vague question?
Do you agree that the CV should have been reduced?
Do you agree this is an outrageous travesty of justice?
And where's my potato?
Now who's being cheated...

Come on guys, don't be mean. Just give the keys back!

Here, you can have my key for Black the Fall - PCPKA-CEA(nine)K-0ATDQ
Looks like a cool game but I probably would not get to play it anyway.
While it may look nice to have a high level, it does not really mean that much in the long run. If you really want to get ton of games, try joining a group, although they will expect you to chip in with somewhat equal value (also dunno if any group will take you in after this tantrum, SG can be quite unforgiving).

Could be worse.
You could buy a monthly, have this stupid Battle Royale game, don't like it, give it away just to see it go F2P like 2 months later and all CV goes poof.
Not to mention how happy we were with a Monthly game going F2P literally right after it was included :/
EDIT: Remembered the name. H1Z1.

I love these threads! These unleash the full philosophy potential of SteamGifts Community that is usually expressed with high dosis of ironical sentences...

I suggest you give away 5-8 copies of dark souls 3, Total War: WARHAMMER , Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III,Sid Meier's Civilization VI. Since you all got them in bundles, you must have a bunch of them left over to increase your CV again!
Anyway, thank you for the lolz.

If you go to this site solely for CV and level then I'm sorry but you are an idiot. You will have a better chance at trading those keys you bought on grey market sites than here, this site is about giving away games which means no take back and you should know this since you sign up. All Humble Monthly games being unbundled have always been strange to me, $12 for 6 games many of which are $30 - $50 originally is a very good deal in general and it makes sense that many of those games should be in the bundled list. I think the mods and admins should make a post to clear this up if only so people would stop whining.

Okay, let me see if I get this thread and its surrounding events straight.
Some people were abusing a loophole in the system, OP among them. The loophole was forcefully closed by an executive decision of one of the mods (pending potential eventual review). People who weren't abusing the system lost CV (in some cases, a bunch of CV) as unavoidable collateral damage. And so OP is now complaining that the loophole was closed. Generally to people who lost CV because of his abuse.
sarcastic smirk
That is very interesting indeed, in a highly ironic sort of way.

Hahaha... people actually still think that having a higher level CV makes their 'investment' worthwhile. The only people with a legitimate complaint will be those who actually paid full price for a game, only to lose CV down the road. But the people who are buying full value games to giveaway, ironically enough, are also those who aren't trying to 'game' the system.
If you are so worried about gaining something from this site and think that higher levels are the way to do that, then rather just log off and take the money you would spend on your giveaways and buy games you want for yourself, or trade those keys.
Otherwise, just think of this site as a way to be generous with the extra keys you have and with the chance that maybe you win a game or two along the way. If you're giving to get, you're not being generous, you're being a profiteer.
I would actually be ok with it if they decided to scrap the CV system altogether. Generous people will still give away keys without the expectation of getting in return. People will stop buying $1 bundles en masse to game the system. Other people will stop being upset that people are buying $1 to game the system as it won't matter.
Comment has been collapsed.
Ok so you didn't want them anyway, why cry then if they've 'lost value'? And if you are wanting to turn your 'unwanted' games into ones that you do want, rather just trade then.
Comment has been collapsed.
Right. Well I can guarantee that a thread like this will even more reduce your chances of winning, as there are better ways of expressing your frustration than making demands.

Hahaha... people actually still think that having a higher level CV makes their 'investment' worthwhile.
tbh I would recommend for people actually caring to invest in level 1 or 2, but that's all that is super cheap, and very likely will pay off in... a few months, a year maybe :D
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah exactly, the difference in the number of extra giveaways you'll qualify from level 4 upwards is so small, that if your goal it to get a 'return on investment' then get to level 3 and stop. The amount of money you'll spend to get from level 8 to 9 and 9 to 10 versus the number of extra giveaways you can now access, it's a waste. Or just, you know, do giveaways because you're being generous? No? Ok.

or return me the unused key!(administration)
But you didn't gave your keys to administration, you gave them to other users, by your own will and voluntarily. Administration only count how many you give. If you don't like how it's calculated - you can just ignore it. After all, it's all about giving the keys, not about gaining levels.
Comment has been collapsed.
Even so, you didn't gave game to sg administration. You can't ask something back if you didn't gave it.
And about points - you gave them on terms that says:
Certain games on our site are flagged as "No Value" or "Reduced Value". This is done manually by our volunteers, and therefore there might be a delay before these values are assigned.
You were warned this could happen, and if you were not agree - you could've just decide not to give. If you decided to host giveaway - it means you are okay with rules, including this one. So, you already agreed that this "terrible drop is value" is okay with you. Why do you complain now?
Comment has been collapsed.
Not "should apply", just YOU want it to apply. Some games were added to bundle after a year or so, so this time it was done pretty fast, you can't complain about it.

If I understand it right, he means "if CV abuse was noticed too late, don't take CV from abusers".

you just want the ganes back? i suggest to rename the site into 89Gamersgifts.com. this would be the very least cg can do!
