Activating won giveaways..

The official rule is you have to activate it, yes.

Why wouldn't you activate it? You're not allowed to trade it or regift it anyway.

you get 7 days to activate it else you are in violation of the ToS

You HAVE to activate it on the account you won it with! You are NOT allowed to regift it or sell it!

Like others wrote: read the FAQ/Rules and yes, you need to activate it. If only to make sure that the game is bound to your account and won't be traded/given away. After all, you enter the giveaways because you want the game, not to use it for other purposes.
