Oh, then I got that completely wrong, that Real CV minimum ratio 1:1 wasn't there when I looked the last time, I was thinking real CV of 2:1 was required.

why so much hate for trains man? I personally hate "elite" groups and all those people who think they are better than anyone else just because they're f***ing rich. Not to mention that in my opinion most of the restricted "make a GA when you join" gropus benefit mostly their creators. All those ratio reqs - total BS. I mean, I give as much as I can although I'm broke like 90% of the time and I'd do much better just keeping them games for myself (or even for trades if I don'\t feel like playing something) but still people look at like I'm a leecher just because my "ratio" sucks. Well, not my fault you have 0 won games if you're entering only for AAA GAs with no lvl req and tens of thousands of entries. I avoid those focusing on bundled indie titles with as much lvl-req and as little entries as possible. Combine this with a little bit of dumb luck and - boom - profit.
sigh, sorry for ranting on your post laughinman. It's nothing personal - you just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.

yeah, I know there are many groups (if you'd bother to chceck my profile you'd see tham I'm already a member of s*itload [although many are dead, not sg related or I should totally leave it but I'm too lazy to manage these properly]) and honestly, if I were to whine everytime I see a group I don't qualify to I'd propably have 10 time as much comments showing up on my sg profile as I have right now.
It was a release of a built up pressure of annoyance and anger caused by people thinking they are better then others just because they have more $$$ up their (parents's) wallets and those treating everyone who ended winning more then they gave away as leechers. And even though this particular case might not fit 100% with the above, the (insane) lvl req was enough to set me off. And since I realised that letting s*it out is way better for maintaing stable sanity then keeping it in, I learnt to release the stress no matter the consequences.
speaking of consequences - black lists 6hrs post-rant: 22. tbh I've expected bigger increase...
And the group here - I wasn't even remotely interested. I'm a proud owner of a PHYSICAL copy of Wither 3 encased in a beautifull steelbook so bare digital copy ain't quite enough to tempt me ;)

Also not in the group but will vouch for LostSoul, I won my very first game on steamgifts from him and he was extremely patient with me as I didn't have my account setup correctly. This was a while back but I never forgot this kind gesture.

Do I actually have 5 copies of the Witcher 3? What is this Glitter and Gold Giveaways Group? Are we really giving away awesome games? The word Elite has sort of lost it's meaning, but gold, well that's forever people, or is that diamonds? Whatever. Either way the answer is yes, the whole point is to give away excellent games.
The whole point is that I have games that I want to do giveaways and I am so fucking done with trains. I hate them with a passion unknown to man. But I'm addicted and I have awesome games to giveaway, so the question is what the fuck do I do? I thought about this a lot. I'm on the waiting list for a few groups, but they're all full. I could do gladiatorial games, but that seems a bit excessive. So If I can't join them and I can't make you fight in a Colosseum for my personal amusement, I'm going to create my own special little club, apparently that's what all the cool kids do these days. That will be so totally awesome and elite and have all the generous people in SG in it, so that it will never die.
So what do you need to do to gain entry? I assure you that the entry requirements aren't easy but before we get into that, even if you don't make the requirements, you can still get in so long as you have two people in good standing inside the group vouching for you. It won't be me, so don't beg me. I have a bleeding heart. So let's get on to the requirements.
Again, there is a vouching system in place, so if you see those rules and you don't meet them. You can still get in. The maximum right now is 50 people.
Also don't worry people, I'm still going to be making my usual events at least my very last event anyway.
Also I want to be perfectly clear, that you need to be able to give back if you win something from the group if you can't then that's fine, but that's the whole point of this group.
