Plasma on a pc? You're playing with the fire...

No, I'm not. Not anymore if I was using LCD. What year is this, anyway. Plasma screen technology has come a huge, huge way since, what, 2005 you're probably basing your comment? Do you people not know of power settings? Windows 7 desktop background slideshow? Screensavers? Do you know how many hours I've used this thing with a PC? I'll enjoy my awesome screen while you alienate a whole line of products because you're afraid of burn-in.

Uniformity on LCDs and LEDs are a much more common and bigger problem than the rare burn-in on a plasma these days. Also, everything has a chance of burn-in.

Yup, but the modell you named is from 2006 ;)
And yep I'm using all that stuff and have no desktop icons... I've seen some pretty burnt in desktop icons and taskbars (not on plasma though) won't happen to me.

Yes, 2006, but it's been in full use for years. Never a single problem. I was merely informing you that plasma screens are not destroyed by simply hooking it up to a PC. That's just ridiculous.

Since getting Steam, the computers I've primarily used have had 768p resolution.

No, I'm not a high-res gamer, and I'm okay with that. Besides, said computers can't even run those games anyway.

I've had this 24" for like 4 years now. Though it was a present rather than me buying it back then. It only has 1 VGA/DVI and it makes me sad.

Don't worry though I have a DVI-HDMI cord laying around, but I'm just lazy to remove the cord over and over.

23" 1080p main monitor, 24" 1080p secondary monitor, 17.3" 1080p laptop...
And for those wondering why the 24" is secondary: The 23" is a Dell Ultrasharp 2311H, which is an IPS panel, height adjustment (so it is more on head height, better for neck) and pivot. Significantly better feature-wise than my 24" SyncMaster 2494HS.

I love that Dell, I got it last year and it's my favourite part of last years PC upgrade (really, I like it more than SSD :P)
